Tip of the day! If you are drunk and get ripped off while trying to buy dope, do not call the Police and demand that we rectify the situation. Unless by rectify you mean take you to jail.
Very well! It helped that much of the bridges and roads had been sanded but, traction control never even engaged. I knew it should should be okay considering my '05 never gave me much grief. I was still sweating bullets though.
I wish I had the option of not going to work. It's even worse since it's Superbowl week. No discretionary time off allowed. If you call in sick, you better be on your death bed.

Well, that's good!
I was outside just a few minutes ago and it seems like the ice is getting a little brittle, maybe thawing a little bit underneath? But, I still don't think it is going to be good enough for me to go to work through.....

I'm off Sat, Sun and Monday (my normal days off) so that worked out well. My team has foot patrol duty Friday night downtown which is probably gonna suck bigtime.
Yeah, the side streets are still frozen in many areas. The freeways are decent in most places but, still have patches of ice.

That did work out pretty well. The extra snow doesn't exactly help. I probably got another four inchs of snow in my area! Errr!
I was going to go to the store today since I'm down to nothing but protein bars to eat! Now, I don't think I'll be able to get down there.....

I think I found a quirk in the traction control. When I was on my way to work Thursday night, the Service Advanced Trac message came on and the entire traction control system shut off (I of course crapped my pants since I was on a very big/bad patch of ice!) The car got slightly sideways since I had to move over for an idiot who felt the need to stop halfway into my lane from a parking lot. Needless to say, the trip to and from work was very hairy! I couldn't get up my driveway when I got home with the snow on top of the ice and had to park in the street (had no trouble when it was just ice, T/C working). The T/C sensors apparently got covered up with ice which prompted the service message. When I got home Friday morning and tried to get up the driveway I must have generated enough heat to melt the ice off the sensors because the service message went away and T/C is back.
Nasty!

Oh man, Tread! Jacked up for certain! At least all is well enough now.
Wonder if there's a TSB for that? I remember on my '05, there was an issue with the brake cable freezing during icy conditions and not releasing the E-brake. Which, it happened to me two winters ago. Nothing like driving with sluggish response and smelling the brakes get hot.
Local dealership fixed it though when I showed them the TSB.
That said, I drove my wife's car everywhere during the ice/snow we had up here. Her FWD Alero does well...plus it's not my Mustang.
Oh...and 5 years later, I'm ordering my exhaust. My price point was $250 and they're on sale:

Wow, that sounds pretty scary Tread! I would have never have thought that something like that would happen?
I'm taking today off today because of the ice on the roads. I think I'll try it tomorrow though!
I didn't go to work on Tuesday-Friday last week because of the snow and ice. My pay check is going to be pretty light this week because I didn't want to cover all that time with vacation days since I would have used the couple that I have up.
Congrats on the exhaust Ghost!

Thanks guys. The dang things actually arrived today! Color me impressed on "standard shipping". I wish all standard shipping was this fast!
Looks like I have a weekend project now.

It's a pretty straight forward and easy process. I didn't even have to adjust them. Everything lined up perfect.
