Thanks Ghost! I'm not sure if it's tread pattern noise or just the stiffer tire. It's not overly noisey or real annoying but, it's louder than the Pirelli's.

$170 isn't too bad. Mine were $150 for 17 inch BFG KDWS. Them seem to handle pretty good in the rain and the little bit of ice we had.

What size are your wheels? 18 inch?

Thanks Falchion! $170 a tire = no burnouts and they seem to be pretty nice so far other than being a little noisy.

Yep, they are 18's. I know $170 isn't alot in the big roller club! J/K.... I probably wouldn't do a burnout even if they only cost $50.

PS- Blake is a Daddy! Congrats Blake,

My new mirror inserts arrived today, yippee! A few days late but, they look great and went on in about 10 minutes. I'll post a pic in the mirror insert pic thread when I get a pic.

It's time to start planning for the Texas Motor Speedway Laps for Charity again. It will be on Sat. May 13th. http://www.texasmotorspeedway.com/visitori...peedwayCalendar ..

There is also a contingent from DFW Stangs.net setting up a GTG before the event. http://www.dfwstangs.net/forums/showthread.php?t=284997 . We had a good showing last time and it's alot of fun.

Tread,

You woke me up and got my attention with that post. I enjoyed the last time...thought it might be a little lame with the speed limits and all, but it really turned out to be a blast. Only got my GT up to 100 last time but since I wasn't used to turning corners at 100 mph that was just fine. A friend of mine has already mentioned a party that weekend but since he lives a little north of Denton that means the track wouldn't be that far away! I'll have to figure out a way to (safely) do both!

Railray

PS...By the way... I like your tires, rims and mirror inserts!

Hey Railray, how's it going? I was wondering if you would see that post. Thanks for the compliments on my car! We are planning on going later than last time in the hopes that it won't be as busy and we can get in on some of those faster lap speeds. I hope ya make it again.

I got reassigned to night shift, but that weekend is an off weekend, so I might be able to get there. What time did you have in mind to meet?

Cool, it would be great to see ya make it out. How ya like night shift? I like it alot. Anyway, it looks like we might be meeting up at the Sonic at I-35W and Basswood about 6pm and then heading to the track about 6:30. You can check out the thread on the above link to DFWStangs for changes.

Sweet! I was wondering when the spring Raceway was gonna happen!

That's a busy weekend! Carswell airshow is that weekend, too, I believe.
Edit: yup! http://www.best-airshows.com/

I'll definately try to be there! Gonna have to check with my social coordinator (da' wife).

Tread, lemme know when you're going to do your felt. I'd like to watch and learn.

Cool,,,speedway on Saturday and air show on Sunday! Ghost, just tell your wife to come on out too. If not, then tell her your car was commandeered(sp?) in a police chase that ended at the speedway.

I'll let ya know about the felt. Taco Bill put up some pics from when his was done. It looks easy but, I'm scared to take my door apart. Maybe next Wednesday the 26th?

I think Wednesday is definitely plausible for me.

And I like the police chase thing..."Honey, I just got the milk when an officer needed a car with some go to chase a purp...next thing I know I was at the TMS going round and round chasing the guy..."

Cool, I'll PM you my address and phone number sometime before then. I was up in your neck of the hood last night too. I had to answer an open door call in the 7400 block of Anderson in the Blake Meadows sub-division. I guess it's a good thing for you I don't know your address. I might have had to knock on your door at 2am to see what you were doing!

Shoot...I wouldn't mind more of a police presence on my street at that time. Last month was light though. Only 4 reported incidents for our area versus the norm of 12+. Don't knock on my door though...I'll just leave a thermos of coffee for you on my front porch.
