Yeah. that was some crazy rain huh? Woke me up at about 1:30 AM. Finally got back to sleep after an hour or so! Not good!

 

Ya...I'm still here. Just been crazy. Work's been pounding me so I haven't had much time for some break-surfing there. Then road trip over the weekend. Then sick. Then back to work and we got a computer virus that screwed up the whole plant.

My neighborhood faired well in the rain. There's a duck pond (covers about 3 acres) where all the water drains to and it was up over 3'. The spillway for it was like a raging river.

Thanks for the invite 06Tung! Will definately like to hook up for a dyno day and just hang out in general. My household still needs to settle down with the new kiddo. Free time is short at the moment. My wife doesn't like me disappearing for more than 2 hours...or the kids drive her nuts!

Thanks Ghost! I went by the Dealer today and got a look at the Dark Candy Apple red color that I ordered. It's very close to redfire, and looked a little darker then I thought, but I keep it for my order.

The rain was coming down so hard at work the other night I thought someone was spraying my car with a firehouse. I ended up finding a place with an overhead awning to sit under until it passed.

 

Yeah, I felt the same thing on my house the other night. I getting tired of getting woken up in the middle of the night by thunder and lighting!

 

Well...at least we're out of the drought!

 

That's for sure. The lakes are all full!

But, I can't hardly keep my car clean with all this rain.

 

Haha! I love the rain. Especially at night since it keeps the knuckleheads inside.

Hey Tread, where did you get your CAI? I found a place online, but they were out of them!

I was thinking I might as well stock up on parts before my GT gets here!

I think they only had it for a month. Just mention that you are a member and was reading about the CAI and want to know what one costs. MAybe they will hook you up.

I did a little research on the Granatelli CAI and some of the guys were really slaming it. Have you have any problems with your CAI Tread?

 

No problems at all. Most of the people slamming it have never even used it which makes no sense to me. I know they had a problem with some bad MAF's but, they sent out new ones to those affected.

 

OK, thanks Tread. Those look real good. I'll probably order one sometime in July or August just to make sure it's here in time for when my car shows up!

 

No news on my new 08 GT yet. The factory is shut down for a couple of weeks now. They won't open again untill July 12th! Errr!

Oh well, I guess I'm not in that much of a hurry.....

 

Too bad! Isn''t this a normal summer shutdown thing? Seems like I remember reading that before.

 

Yeah, I think they retool the factory for the next years models during this time.

HA, I was just coming to post that there are pics of Candy Apple Red in the timeline. You beat me to it. It looks pretty good in those pics. Not quite as dark as redfire I think. You and Ghost will have to park next to each other so we can see the difference.

 

Yeah, Redfire and Candy Apple are close colors. I think Redfire has a hint more blue in it then Candy Apple.

Hey, do you guys think I should go for the Trip Tunes option so that I can add in a I-pod player? It's kind of pricey at $256 for that.....
