Looks good Ghost!

Hey Ghost, do you like the Pirelli tires that came with your Mustang? Do they handle pretty well in the Texas rain?

I'm wanting to know since I got rid of the Fan blade wheels from my order, and those came with BFG tires which I like, but it seems like the Pirellis had better reviews........

Only two speeding tickets. Considering the section of town I work about 90% of my tickets are no drivers license and no insurance. The radar in my car is used mainly as my head up display speedometer.

My Pirelli tires (before I got the BFG's) were decent in the dry and sleet/snow but, were not that great in the rain. Which BFG's come with the 18" wheels now?

The BFG KDWS's in 235/50/R18. I like those, but I wish they were a little wider.....

I can get takeoff fan blades for around $950, so that wouldn't be too bad?

I'm a little cautious in the rain. Dunno if its the tires or the gobs of torque available to the rear tires.

I have Riken Raptors...255/45/18(company owned by BFG)
I honestly have good traction in the rain.
Not from a stop; not from a punch; but the resistance to hydroplaning is excellent.

Yeah, the BFG's that I have in 255/50/R17 are pretty good in the rain. They've gotten me home through some pretty bad rain.

I'm not sure if I have that level of confidence in the Pirellies......

The reviews at the tire rack, and discount tire are pretty good on the pirellies though, better then the BFG's......

I guess maybe I'll try the Pirellies for a while and see how they are.

Yeah, and I think they look better then the painted fan blade wheels.......

Here's a link to some pics of a GT/CS in Candy Apple Red. First on the forum, I think........

I'm also considering going with the Ford Racing handling pack package if it's not too much money? What do you guys think? Here's a link to the catalog, see last page.....

That's more then I thought it would be, plus the installation cost!

I guess I won't be getting that after all. Maybe just as well since it could cause the car to be too stiff?

I put my V6 pony on Autotrader. I thought I'd see how that works......

I don't really want to lower my car but, I wouldn't mind some Tokico D-Spec adjustable struts.

Yeah, I'll probably just stay with the stock suspension. The FR pack cost too much money.

What did you guys think of the Candy Apple pics?

Candy looks good, but not as good as Redfire.

Tread, the handling pack doesn't lower the car, as I understand it. It just improves the suspension and stiffens up the chassis. Other posts I've read on the handling pack says it does help with the handling, but the trade off, as Falchion said, is its a much more stiffer ride. So, I take that as: On track = great. Road trips = rough.

Oh come on Ghost, Candy Apple rules! Everybody knows that!

I think the handling pack does lower the car a little. I thought maybe an inch?

It still costs too much for me though.......

According to the tech notes it lowers the the car 1.5 inches. I'm sure it looks good but, I don't wanna deal with the stiff ride. Adjustable shocks/struts would probably help. Too much money for me though.

Yeah, I didn't think it would be that much. I could get some take off fan blade wheels for cheaper then that!

Just got a call that my car is going to be made next week! Very happy about that!

Should be here by late August!

I also got a 08 brochure today, very cool stuff in it!

OK, we can race then huh?

I'm taking a day off this weekend just to get my garage ready for the new pony. Just some lighting and a work bench, I couldn't afford what I really wanted to do in there.

I wanted to do the epoxy garage floor, paint the walls, and get some of those Gladiator black/diamond plate storage cabinets, but it's better to put a little bigger down payment on the new car. So, that's what I'm going to do!

It's economics.......

Humm...missed the tech notes. :S Oops.

Wow! Nice find on the wheels. Wonder if they'll get the FR ones?

Tread, what's the top end of the V6 supposed to be? And does the new cruiser gonna have more room for ya?

I saw on the forum today that some guy bought some fan blades off of E-bay for $400, and sold his 17 inch wheels/tires for $200. Not bad huh?

I don't know if I'd trust anything off of E-bay though?
