That's a nice pic Tread!

I still think they should give you a ticket for being too close to the sign!

I thought that whole loooong expanse was Trinity Park. Anywho, sweet shots none the less. That last one, your car looks like a toy.

Yeah, it does look like a toy. Like that one shot you gave us a couple of years ago huh Ghost?

How do you like your CAI Tread? Did you notice any extra power?

It's getting closer to when the 08's come out! I really want to see that new Candy Apple Red color!

SO far I love the CAI. It sounds better and it definitely feels like there is more power. I need to have it dyno'ed some time just to make sure everything is good. It was worth the money for me since I have no plans on getting a tune.

After seeing your CAI, Tread, and the other guy...Pegasus? At that last TMS Laps I attended, y'alls is the way I would like to go. No tune. Preprogrammed MAF. Seems all in all like a good setup.

I'd like to get a baseline dyno sometime. Maybe we could hook up sometime for that?

Yeah, I agree with you Tread. CAI with no tune.

After all, I heard that you can kiss your warrenty good bye if you get a tune!

Did you get the CAI with the MAF with it, or did you use the stock one that came with your car?

Ghost- Money is tight right now but, later this year we should try to go to one the Dyno days.
Falchion- I got the GMS with MAF. You need a tune to use the stock MAF.

06TungVertGT- like I told Ghost, money is non existent right now but I definitely wanna get to one of those. Who are you on DFWStangs?

I think it went about 2mpg or so. They went to the mandated 10% Ethanol about a month or so after I put it on and dropped my MPG back down about 3mpg so overall I'm still up.

In another bit of exciting news! I was informed Wed night at work that my next beat car will be a CHARGER! V-6 though dang it.

Everyone else in my district got new Crown Vics Tuesday. Mine is apparently a test car to see how well it will work. Won't be here for a few weeks though. I have been told that it will leave a Crown Vic in the dust. We (as in I) will definitely find out about that!

V-6 Charger has 250hp and 250ft/lb torque. The Crown Vic is 250hp/270ft/lb torque and weighs a couple hundred pounds more.

So your MPG went up about 2 MPG after you put your CAI on? That's pretty good! With todays gas prices, it would pay for itself after a couple of years!

I'm surprized that you would get a V6 Charger instead of a V8! Are they trying to save on gas or what?

Your guess is as good as mine about the V-6 business. Traffic Div has the V-8's but, they have to go to a high speed driving school in Oklahoma before they are allowed to drive them.

3.55 question

Hey do you guys have a 3.55 axle ratio? I'm trying to make up my mind over getting this if I order a 08 GT. You have to get the Premium over the Deluxe so it might cost me a little more then just the $100 it would on a 2007! Errr!

What do you guys think?

Here's my thread over on the 2005-2008 forum.

Hmm, I guess I'll go for the Gusto and order the Premium GT then. I like the way the Black/Chamois interior with the Premier Trim looks. That along with the Candy Apple red should look real nice!

I'm also going to get the 18 inch Fan blade wheels.....

I went ahead and called in my order. Here's what I ordered........

Optional 3.55 ratio axle (455)
TR3650 5-speed Manual Transmission (44K)
18" Premium Aluminum Wheels (64E)
Active Anti-Theft System (14A)
Wheel locking kit (17L)
Ambient Lighting (95M)
Interior Upgrade Package (18G)
Satin Aluminum Instrument Panel Applique (67L)
Premier Trim with Color Accent Package (68B)
Black/Chamois Color Accent (K4)
Dark Candy Apple Red (JV)

What do you guys think? Should be right around 28K with the X-plan......
