Thanks Danny! It feels good and sounds good. Naturally, I can't keep my foot out of it now.

That satin doesn't look bad either!

Is there a difference with heat intrusion? Ergo, the polished reflecting more engine heat away?

That looks great Tread!

I really like how it looks with the intake cover! It should be standard equipment for Mustang GT's

Here's some info on new Mustang versions that might be coming out in the near future. Part of Ford's new "way Forward Plan.".....

Fields also promised new Mustang derivatives are part of the company's near-term product plans - to ensure the company has at least one new Mustang variant every year.

"One of those will be the return of the Bullitt coming in 2008," Fields said.

Technically polished traps heat but on the dyno we have never seen anymore then 4 degress difference between polished and satin

Polished traps? Like inside the tube...reflecting back?

Anyway, thanks for the tidbit, Joe.
I'll just wait for the buy one, get one free sale.

yes like reflecting back - the polished part creates a barrier that traps heat. but like I said it is insignificant

Question Air Filter question

The 7" X 5" (4" inlet) GMS Conical Air Filter has 60 pleats (more than any other brand that I could find on the web) and is made in the USA.
Everybody seems to agree that the more pleats there are and the deeper they are, the better the air flow; also that a larger one is better than a smaller one. Most aftermarket filters contain layers (up to 8) of cotton gauze which have to be reoiled after cleaning. There are also some made of polyester or other synthetic compounds which do not require oiling after cleaning; the GMS one appears to be one of these. While air flow is the most important variable from a high performance perspective, it has to be balanced with filtration capability and efficiency. While the GMS solution appears to be optimal, does anyone have some more info on this?

Sorry it took so long (I got lazy)but, here are the pics with the strut tower brace and clearance from the plenum cover. I took the rubber grommets out of the cover and then put them on top which gave enough room w/o taking out the fuel rail studs.

Hey Falchion, do you have a spare F-35 engine I can test with?

Ghost- If I wanted a last place trophy I would do the car show thing. I have one first place plaque from a show at Hooters in 2005 so I'll keep my perfect record intact by not showing at another one.

I'm surprised you don't have it hanging off one of the coat hangers in the car!

Joe's gonna have to wait on me placing a CAI order. We just can't get the cigarette smoke smell out of the house. After TSP'ing and painting all the walls and ceilings there's still a lingering odor. We believed they totally lied when the sellers told us they only smoked outside. We've had the carpets "professionally" cleaned twice (once by the seller and once by us). Baking soda hasn't done anything...so now its to replacing the carpet. And my house still hasn't sold in Fort Worth.

http://www.cleanairliving.com/800pureair/ When I move into my new house a few years back the next door neighbor house caught on fire. I was on the wind side so all his smoke - freak'n destroyed my house in terms of smoke and burn wood smell. His insurance company bought me one of these and NO BS in 2 hours my entire house smelled like nothing. Nothing good and nothing bad. This little box will eat a scented candle faster then a fart fat

If you want your house to smell like outside after the rain - this box will do it. Once a month I put it in my truck and shut the windows as best as possible to get the wet dog small out of the truck. Side note I take wonder mutt everywhere I go. He is a 100 lbs. farting machine and after the box has been plugged into the truck for a few hours - you would never know I had a dog.

I can't stand cat smell - same story since we got this box - no cat smell - No fish - no broccoli - nothing - I recommend this thing 101%

Thanks for the link! Wow, though...they're proud of those boxes. $499 for the Breeze AT and $798 for the Fresh Air.

Cheaper than new carpet though.

Nice pic Falchion!

Ghost- Good luck with the houses. The real estate market isn't too great right now which is one reason I haven't tried to sell mine. I'm also considering replacing my rear gas cap medallion on the Stang with my car show plaque!

Sweet pic, Falchion!

Ya...I hope I sell the house soon...two mortgages bites hard. Draining my savings.

Figures it tanks right when I go to sell. A month prior, I could of turned a nice profit and sold within two weeks. Now I'll barely break even... unless it doesn't sell soon. *sigh*
