No luv on Hooters...I'm in Atlanta again.
Maybe I'll just go to the Hooters here on that day.

Here's to hoping the felt we did is more secure and a better felt that they used.

Bummer, they sure like sending you to Atlanta! I hope the felt stays too. The first words out of his mouth were,"The glue will melt when it gets around 100 degree's and get all over everything." Oh well, we'll see what happens.

The only way I see it screwing up is one of two ways:
1) The window causes the felt to "roll over", in which case the felt might leave residue on the window.
2) The felt gets pushed up, and the residue remaining on the runner might leave residue on the window.

I'll hope since the felt is so long and since its a shearing force instead of a tension force, the felt will be more apt to resist whatever force the window exerts on it...even when hot. Here's to hoping.

PS: Like the new avatar.

Yeah, it all depends on how mushy the glue gets. I'm sure we did such a great job on it that will stay on forever!

Thanks for the avatar compliment! The new forum software makes it big enough to actually see what it is now.

There were a lot more cars this week at Hooters. Railray actually remembered and came out so I wasn't the only '05 there.

Ghost- You gonna be back from Atlanta in time for the speedway Saturday?

Cool, we are going to watch some of the airshow from the Toys R Us parking lot. My son broke a bone in his elbow Wed. at school thanks to some kids being rough so we gotta try and keep him from getting hot and sweaty. He's got a cool blue cast now that almost matches my car! See ya at Sonic.

Didn't ending up going to the airshow...day got full fast. But the TMS drive was fun. Daughter was calling me the "racer driver" when I picked them up in the viewing lot.

Haha, that's cool Mr Racer Driver! It was definitely alot of fun. The one time I dared to look, I was doing 95mph. One of the pace trucks squeezed between me and the wall and scared the crap out of me. I called him a few choice names even though he couldn't hear me.

Ya, that annoyed the heck out of me...that pace truck would edge up on me!!! I was constantly doing a mirror check to make sure I could take the corners high. Stupid pace truck...

Question: When you got your tint redone, did you call Alta Mere first for an appointment or did you just show up?

I was in the neighborhood so I stopped in to see if they could tint them but, they were booked for the rest of the day. I had to make an appt for the next day. I would call before I made the trip if that was the only reason I was going over there for.

I got some good news from the makers of SilverStar bulbs today. They finally got approval to make them in H13 bulbs and should be ready by late fall or early winter this year.

That's the fog lights, I assume? I may have to spring for all those bulbs, if so. More light = less...blight? The headlights sure looked bright on yours though.

And in other news...I accepted a new job...in Sherman. I'm happy about the job...a little nervous/excited about the move.

Congrats on the new job! Bummer on the moving part though. It's gonna be a long drive to Hooters now,Haha!

The new bulbs coming are for the headlights. I have SilverStar fogs already. The new headlight bulbs I have now don't look very bright from the drivers seat.

Thumbs up

The Hooters meet is a weekly deal so anyone who happens to read this forum should come on out. Don't make me send out my goon squad to find y'all!

Got my windows redone at Alta Mere today. Here's hoping our "fix" is a good one! Hows your windows so far, Tread?

Yeesh...all the stuff I've been getting done on the house...maintenance, cleaning, etc...I don't wanna move again anytime soon! And we still haven't listed our house yet! I can't wait for the ever-to-keep-clean-in-case-someone-comes starts.

Windows are holding up so far! I really hated the keep the house perfect fun when we sold our last house. It was especially fun when a realtor would just assume no one was home since it was the middle of the day and come on in instead of calling beforehand to make an appointment. I've been awakened by a screaming woman more times than I care to remember but, I guess that will teach a stupid realtor. It's funny when the agency calls 5 minutes later wanting to know if it's ok to show the house in about 10 minutes. I always told them they shoulda stayed the first time they were here.

I see everyone has been abducted by aliens again! We actually had a guy calling in about a UFO hovering over his neighborhood last week. It had spiderweb like lights in all directions. Did any of y'all see it? It was over Poly.
