Yes, the BFG KDWS tires are all season. The "S" stands for snow and it's the same model of tire that comes with the 18 inch fan blade wheel. Here's the link.....

I talked to my boss when I got back to work yesterday and he stayed till 3:45 Wenesday, and it took him 3 hours to get home!
Our second level Manager on Wenesday morning hit the wrong button on his car remote at 6 AM and rolled down all the windows, and the sun roof on his Lincoln. Needles to say, his car was a popsickle by the time he got out to it at 4 PM.

Yea, it would be nice to have the power to close down the city streets! Too many non driving idiots out there who don't understand the concept of slowing down when it's slick out.
I'm glad you made it back safely Ghost and didn't have to sleep on the floor of the airport!
Falchion- Do you have traction control and are those BFG KDWS tires all season?
Blue Knight- Sorry to hear about your car. Hopefully it won't take too much to fix it up. I lucked out on the ice night at work and didn't have to work any wrecks. I probably woulda got complained on anyway for telling someone what I thought about them out driving in the ice. :ranting:

Yeah, I've been calling him the "Iceman" every time I see him.
I tried to get some pics for you guys, but he said he didn't take any.
He also said it didn't hurt the car, but I find that hard to believe since he has leather!

Ha! There's nothing like getting in a frozen car.

Hey, hope y'all had great Christmas! All things considered, mine was pretty good. The kids were excited about what Santa brought them, which is the main thing. I got a nice gift from work. They finally pinned me down and issued me a Taser. Nobody in my class would volunteer to get schocked so the Instructor got a recruit from the academy class to get blasted. All I can say is ouch! I need some volunteers!
I volunteer Ghost!
I had the whole week off from work and didn't have have much to do since I thought I was going to working overtime which didn't come through. But it was nice having the time off anyways! And it might be a while before I get some time off again since I think we're going to get very busy at work.
I hope you guys have a fun and safe New Years! Mine will be a safe, but boring one since I didn't make any plans. But, at least that way I won't have to worry about Tread pulling me over for a sweet DUI!

Man, I was beginning to think everyone else disappeared!
Falchion, if you are driving around somewhere that I would see ya then you've probably got worse problems than a DWI will get ya. I hope everyone had a good start to the New Year and the rest of the year goes great too.
I can't believe all the idiots that still go outside and shoot their guns up in the air! It sounded like a war zone last night.

Yeah, I forgot where your beat is, you must have had a heck of a night huh?
Well anyways, we're into 2006 already! Woot! Happy New Year!
And I hope it's a good one for all of you guys! Make lots of money and buy another Mustang!

Well, all things considered it wasn't too awfully bad that night. I just wish I had an extra vest to wear on my head since all those bullets going up had to come down.
I missed the first official "Fight the Police Party" 4min after midnight while I was trying to sneak up on some knuckleheads shooting a gun in their backyard. Of course they stopped shooting it so I didn't get to stick my shotgun in their ear
but, maybe I'll get one on July 4th.

Man...I took two weeks off for the holidays and I seemed to have less to goof off when I'm on vacation.

Oh...I volunteer a neighbor for you to try the Tazer on...
Yeah, it seems vacations are turning into more work than going to work anymore. Does your neighbor know he's volunteering? Haha!
I got into a fun pursuit the other night. I was the secondary unit (so I was calling the directions on the radio) and I was doing good until we started going thru alley's that looked more like the jungle than an alley. I didn't realize it at the time but, I was apparently laughing on the radio while calling out directions. What can I say? It was probably the most fun pursuit I've had and defintely the first one I've had go thru an alley. It ended when I saw reverse lights from the patrol car in front of me half way down the alley. We were chase a car burglar in what turned out to be a stolen Toyota Echo. Anyway, there were some old gas lines sticking up about 2ft frpm the ground in the alley. The knucklehead drove over them, punturing his oil pan and kept going while we of course had to stop and back out ( I'm not paying for an oil pan). He made it another block in the alley and vanished. We think he lives or has friends in one of the houses in the block where he stopped but, we'll catch him later. Much much fun that was!

An Echo?? You couldn't catch a Toyota Echo!?!? A stiff wind could pull that car over!!! I'm laughing, but not at your chase.
Oh...and my neighbor doesn't know. Don't worry though, because it'll make me laugh.

I'll give the guy in the Echo some credit since he can drive pretty good but, we were on his tail the whole time. We could stop pursuits alot sooner if the city would let us. We had ample opportunities to stop this one by blocking him in or spinning him out but, it's against our General Orders which means days off w/o pay or worse for us. Oh, and the same goes for wrecklessly damaging our cars which is why neither of us were willing to run over those pipes sticking straight up about 2ft. The city is sometimes more concerned about spending money than catching people. :bang:

Air One needs a darn 20mm Vulcan on it and just spray the !#%@ out of the engine. Done and done.
That's it. All we had to do the other night was block the alley but, since we can't use our car to block someone in we had to keep chasing him. I don't know why they won't let us do these things (money) but, one day it's gonna come back and bite them in the rear(more money than it would've cost to let us stop a pursuit). Oh well I can dream.
Mine, too!!! And with the actual cold weather, I haven't washed mine in quite awhile! I actually had to turn on my wipers and sprayer this morning to get some funk off my windshield!I had some fun with the 'stang last night. My family and I were taking a walk about 8:30pm last night on our street. A car slowly came up our street with the music just blaring. Unusual, since none of our neighbors do that (loud music in car). And it was loud. We heard it well over 50yds away...and when it drove by, the windows were up! We also didn't recognize the driver. It then parked at the end of the street, in a neighbors driveway. 2-3 minutes later, another vehicle with music blaring equally as loud, drove up the street, passed us, then parked in the grass of the same house. The garage opens, they park the first car in the garage, then we here commotion...like the moving of stuff. We're at our house at this time, 1/2 down the street...so we couldn't quite tell what was going on. So I call that neighbor.
Ring...Ring... "Hello?"
"Yes, is Susa..."
*click*
So I go outside to tell my wife, about that time the garage closes, and the 2nd vehicle, a red 4-dr Jeep Cherokee, backs out...so I dart inside to get pen and paper to take the plate down. The Jeep cruises down our street with no lights on. Neither one of us could discern the plate number. Strange drivers, strange vehicle, commotion, not answering the phone, no lights on leaving? We've had several breakins and burglaries over the past few months and that just torqued me.
I dart into the house, grab my keys, tell the wife to get the kid and dog out of the way and jump in the car. She tells me which way they turned and I pull out of the driveway, and tear down our street. I catch up to them as they are about to turn on to the main road to that will get them to the interstate. With my headlights, I can see the plate...so I'll just write down the...Ah!!! Where's my pen?!?! They turn onto the street, I follow. Odd...the passenger, the lady driver in car #1, turns to look back. I follow them to the light at the access road. We're in the middle lane. I fumble around again and finally find my pen. I get the plate and write it down. Again, the passenger turns around and looks at me. Now...I'll admit I'm following them, but at no time did I think I did anything to alert them. When I first caught up with them, I slowed down and liesurely followed them to the light.
Now, the light turns green...we're in the middle lane...going over the overpass...suddenly, the Jeep veers to the left...2 lanes into the left turn lane in order to get on the interstate. Alright, that's down right wierd. So I go straight, as they turn left to get on I-30 East. I get down to the next intersection..and pull a u-ey. Did I get the plate right?
I turn right onto the I-30E on-ramp, turn off the fogs, and hammer it. Barely 1/4 mile, goes by and I see them. I don't know how fast I was going to catch up to them, but when I got within 100-150yds, I matched speeds and was doing 80-85mph. And wow...they were changing lanes every 3 feet it seemed like. I was maintaining my lane, only changing to pass vehicles as needed. I guess they finally felt safe or whatever, 'cause they eventually slowed down to 60mph and got in the right lane. I got in 2 cars behind them and followed them for another mile. At a good exit, I hammered it again, got in behind them, verified the plate number and exited to go back home.
Drove straight to my neighbors house. Long story short...sister was dropping off their car, daughter is instructed to hang up on voices she doesn't recognize, and she doesn't know why the husband-sister drove down our street with the lights off. The thing that did get me was when I told my neighbor I followed them and the matching speed, she kinda freaked.
"They don't need to be going that fast. They can't afford to get pulled over!"
Anyway...was fun to use the Mustang in persuit mode...she handles when it counts!

Wow, that is kinda odd! It would definitely make me suspicious. I guess everything was okay then? Pursuit mode is quite fun isn't it? :cop:

I don't have the "professional courtesy" like you.
Well, I had the brake squeal and seat cover TSB's done today. Hopefully they will fix everything once and for all. The brakes didn't make any noise on the way home but, we'll see how it goes.
