Hey guys! Just got out of the hospital. I made my Mom drive thru Texas Motors on the way home and guess what I see driving in to make ready? My Mustang !!! I couldn't believe it. It showed up there last night. My Mom check for me Wednesday and it wasn't there yet. Gonna try and go get it later today. My doctor told me it would be ok to drive 2-3 days after surgery if it was really close to the house. I think 1 mile round trip is close so I'm gonna try. Took some crappy pics with my camera phone.

Hey what do you guys think of these wheels? I was trying to get some interest going in these wheels so that American Racing would come out with them in a size that fits the 05 Mustang, but nobody seemed to like them! :bang:

Here's the thread......

AR Slot Mag thread

I think they look good, it's too bad they don't make one in a size for the Mustang...

Congrats Jimmy! Both on coming out of surgery, and having one heckuva good get-well present waiting for yourself.

Thanks Blake! It's rough not being able to drive it though. I let my Mom drive me in it to the doctors office today. She swears we were going 70mph but we were getting passed left and right. I drove on the way back home since my meds had worn off.
Bart- I think those are the kind of wheels that will have to be seen on the car first. It's hard to picture them in my mind. They do have an old school look though.

I'm glad you got to drive your car finally!

Yeah, I like those Slot Mags, but maybe I'll wait and see how the stock tires are on the Mustang. I haven't heard good things about them, but I'll give them a try and see what the traction is like on them.

Ford, put a cheap version of the BFG Traction T/A on the V6 Mustang that only has 5 ribs, and it's made out of a hard compound to give a long tread life, but I think it might be too hard of a tire for Texas?

I guess I could swap out the tires for some "real" Traction T/A's. That wouldn't be too expensive.

Then I can wait for American Racing to come out with some slot mags that will fit the 05 Mustang!

Well I actually went to the car show and lived to talk about it. I spent about 2 1/2 hours there and man am I sore! As usual it was about 100 degrees in there. The Mustang GT vert looked pretty cool as well as The GT. They had the orange Charger which does look better in person but, I still wouldn't buy one. We had a new Police car on display too. I sure wanted to get in it and drive away. Overall it was a pretty good show but I wish there were more concepts and stuff. Anyone else go?

I was too busy to go. Did you take any pics, Tread? (not on the camera phone, please :P )

I'll be going to the Dallas show in April, so I'm sure most of the same cars will be there.

The show was tons 'o' fun as usual.

Yes, I'm a goofball, but I'm a goofball in some cool cars. Please excuse "the shocker". I was getting pretty drunk by that point.

HA! Those are some really nice pics Blake. I didn't take a camera since I was doing good just to carry myself, sorry. I must say I am so sore right now it's not funny but, it was worth it.

Ya...I think it is. There have been other threads where people got their cars sick fast.

Yeah, I guess it is?

There's a guy who put in his order back in October and he's getting his built in the same week. He was thinking that maybe since both our cars are similar that maybe Ford would like to build them in the same week?

That might be? But, I still lucked out!
