Thanks for the well wishes Falchion. I think I would rather have back surgery than any kind of surgery with the word dental in it! I really wish I had a tank to ride around in sometimes.

My wife had a non-fused partial disc removal for a burst disc and she was cooped up for awhile. I'll have to check into the artificial disc replacement. It sounds like a much better deal...especially if you can be "normal" afterwards. My wife isn't allowed to do anything that might require an impact load (jogging/running) or carry anything greater than 50lbs.

And I further the notion of being able to have M1A1 or A2 on amongst of the drivers around here.

I can see Tread pulling over Falchion now..."Sorry sir. Those wheels will have to come with me as 'evidence'."

Are you a cop, tread? Very cool, if so. I married into a family of cops (TCC and Arlington). Sorry to hear about the back. That doesn't sound like any fun at all.

Heck! No tank?

Man! I was really looking forward to that!

It would be almost as much fun as Test Driving a Mustang!

GhostTX- Check out spineuniverse.com and spine-health.com for more artificial disc info. It is world's better than a fusion but it was just approved by the FDA in October so there are only a few doctors doing it now. I will be my Doctors first guinea pig but, he seems very competent and was highly recommended. You can also check depuyacromed.com for the actual disc that was approved. It's called the Charite' disc or something.

Blake- Yes, I work with Ft. Worth P.D. over in Poly and Stop Six area.

Falchion- I know where there are some tanks.

Yeah, let's take it out for a ride! We'll be like that guy in San Diego a couple of years ago. He stole a tank from the National Guard and took it out on the freeway!

Hey, if your a Policeman, does that mean we get let go if you pull us over for speeding?

We should get Brad to make some TMS decals to put on our windshield so Tread will know to give us some "professional courtesy" if we're in his jurisdiction...

I'll check into those sites Tread. Thanks!

Yeah, good idea Ghost!

Or I was thinking maybe a Mustang source license plate frame should also work!

HaHa! I've written 2 speeding tickets in 10yrs so you don't have too much to worry about with me. I work in patrol so I'm usually in the neighborhoods unlike the traffic guys who pretty much live on the freeways.

You must be pretty excited about your car coming huh Tread?

I know I would be, even if I was recovering from back surgery!

Heck, I'd probably just figure out a way to recover inside the car. After all, the seats fold down. Drink in that new car smell and all!

By the way, here's a link to the test drive that I took in the V6 5 speed manual Mustang that made want to order one. It's got some pics, and links to my other two test drives....

I'm very excited about my stang coming. My Mom seems to think she is gonna pick it up for me. NOT! I've told her and my salesman that if I have to drag myself across the floor of the dealership that I am going to get in that car and drive it home myself. I've read your test drives as you posted them. Great reading! I've driven one at the innovation drive for all of about 45 seconds and that is it.

Well good luck on your car. Looks like it's almost here!

I don't blame you for not wanting your mom to drive it, I wouldn't either!

Yeah, well Skip Harmon. I think Reid is his dad?

Edit: Apparently his official title is "finance manager".

I'm getting mine at Texas Motors. They have always treated me well. I couldn't get my usual deal since the Mustang is so hot but it worked out ok. Plus I can see the lot from the top of my house. If it wasn't for my back surgery I would be up there watching for my car to come in!

I'll probably go thru Five Star as well with Reid and use X-Plan from my work. (Yes, Reid is Skip's dad. Skip got promoted as well and is now a finance manager).

I've chit-chatted with the people at Don Davis in Arlington and was less than impressed. They even over-priced me with the X-Plan numbers! <_<
