Events on the track are being worked out

 

There will definitely be an opportunity to get your car on the track. We just haven't worked out the details.

 

The old grey mare and I are coming! And maybe my wife too if she can get enough time for the drive (~ 9 hours each way). Of course, she'll need a nearby mall to spend her time at! We've got reservations at the Hampton Inn in Trussville, AL - supposed to be close to the track.

I too would like to be able to do a turn or two around the track. I've attended the 20th and 25th MCA anniversaries and the 30th, 35th and 40th Mustang anniversaries so I have to keep the string alive!

 

For Shopping excursions, down 459 from the track in Hoover is the Riverchase Galleria, over 200 stores in a 2 floor mall.

Also on the way to the galleria is the Summit on Hwy 280, its an outdoor type mall area.

 

Wait, I have a question.. Since we have at least one family coming from England, and who knows how many people coming from Canada, wouldnt this be a International meet?

It looks like TMS members will caravan to the show together on Friday. If we can get at least 15 cars together, we can park together. There will be a small TMS hospitality tent next to Project Source Horse.

Brad, I dont think getting 15 cars will be a problem.

Thats 10 right there, and I know there are more I am forgetting.

 

A friend and I (2 cars) would definetly be game for this!! We would drive from new orleans so that wouldnt be to bad.

 

I'm moving to Orlando Fl in the spring, so this sounds like a nice 8 HR drive from there. Count me in. As far as events, I'd also like to run the track. Can you tailgate at the track? If not maybe a huge cookout in a nearby park would be fun

 

hum logans road house. good food.........i just need a better place to stay....one time whem i was down there stayed near the small airport.......i got the feeling it`s not the best area so come on guys hit me up and let me know where to book.............last time i stay abot a half hour from taladega........better area...but i want something that is not to far from everything.....

Loosely, what's the schedule of events other than driving to the show together on Friday?
I plan on going but won't know for sure until it gets a little closer.

Dinner with the crew.
Some sort of show, to see what everone's got.
Track time.

Brad, you should probaby get some sort of reward for the best TMS ride. Since this is the first anual get together and maybe it could be a tradition.
