Window issue
Window issue
So now that I charge the battery up after the winter, the roads are all swept, etc...I re-calibrated my windows 5 times now, however the glass is not leveling to the trim in the down position and is noticeably worse on the passenger side. Any one else with this issue? Suggestions?
So I assume you have a 2005 with the global window feature. Did you completely lower the window, then hold the switch in the up position, let it completely lift into the closed position and continued to hold it for 2 more seconds before releasing the switch?
My drivers door window sometimes drops below the trim on the door, but not very often.

Try unhooking the battery again and starting over. If that doesn't work, you can clear the window module memory by unhooking the battery WHILE rolling up or down the window, then starting over.
Sounds like you need to take it a step further and perform a de-initialization procedure of the smart motor / side window glass.... followed by re-initialization. The following post below has worked successfully for others to get their windows re-set:

Normal for mine.
Funny story, a week after I got mine (Aug '06) I had it back in to have the stripes put on. At the same time I asked them to take a look at the passenger side window 'cause I happened to look over one day while it was down and noticed it sticking up a little from the edge. The tech said it was normal, and I was about to argue when I noticed that the driver's side window was doing the same thing...just hadn't noticed 'cause I had my arm over the sill. lol DOH...
I do know that the windows CAN in fact go down about 3/4 of an inch more, but I think the window position sensor is setup to keep it like it is. Don't know if that can be changed.

Problem resolved, I took it in to my body shop yesturday and they removed the door panels and reinstalled them for me (as this had solved a similar issue on an Acura). Maybe something was out of alignment??? Speaker maybe??? Anyway it worked and I saved myself the time and money that the dealer would have sucked out of me.
