Same problem here, and when it occurs, it is after I fill up and reset everything. I have a 6 mile drive from where I usually fill up to work. It is odd to note that it does not affect the other calculations (MPG, Miles to E, etc).

My Trip Computer reset itself again today, even after first leaving it in the mileage // trip mileage display for a little while after fill-up. I have seen no technical service bulletin on this so far, and I am certain it is a programming error in the trip computer. Has anyone found out something definitive from Ford as far as a recall on this yet?

My 2006 GT has had this problem. I have never reset the trip meter, but it has gone back to 0 at least three times. Like others here, it seems to occur after I fill it up before parking it for the night. Ford STILL says they have no record of the problem in Mustangs. However, my dealer discovered similar problems in other Ford models. They said it requires a guage pack (?) replacement. Not something Ford likes to replace. The dealer is suppose to talk with a Ford rep. next week and make my case. I hope they don't deface my IUP!

My whole gauge pack was replaced for this same problem. They weren't able to duplicate the problem but they did replace it at no charge...under warranty.

What was involved with replacing the gauge pack? Is it just one or more gauges? Did they have to dismantle the dash? Any details would be appreciated.

It's happened to me several times. I'll pay more attention to filling up and try and avoid topping off to see if that makes any difference. Don't really want my dash taken apart...

They told me that they had to replace all the gauges since they were all together. I wasn't there when they replaced the gauges, but I assume they had to remove the dash, though I couldn't tell that they had done anything. Here is the funny part, last week I noticed that my trip reset itself after a fill up and traveling under 5 miles.
