Are there any "young" people going for a '05?

Goodness, I dont think I ever paid that much for insurance... when I first got my license in 86, I had a very serious accident (long story, judge ruled my fault even when the police report stated it wasnt) and my AAA went through the roof. My car was totaled (thats what happens when you roll a Rabbitt!), and they werent happy about buying me a new car.

When we got my 99 GT we thought for sure I was going to be paying some serious insurance... and while its not cheap, combined with my husband, its not horrible. For the two of us, we are paying about $1500/year. We both have V8s, though his is a truck.

One of the main reasons I am glad I am over 25... there arent many reasons to be glad, but thats a big one! LOL
