Are there any "young" people going for a '05?

that's not always true though. I had friends in High School that paid their own car payments but a parent had to sign the contract cause at 17 you basiclly have no credit. Never putting a dime down for your car and it not being under your name can be two wildy different things

good for you mr. responsible
I only responded to your comment that if it wasn't under your name then it wasn't yours
I know alot of parents that won't give(or let them have) credit line cards from 16-20ish. And without one you can't sign on any dotted line for anything as large as a car

well yeah... in the court of law... I didn't think we were getting legal here. I guess the avg kid can't feel any pride for paying off his own car.
I'd hate to be the guy that gets bashed by you for paying off his car under his parents name for a better interest rate
I mean, after all... It's not 'my car'... I just pay for it, drive it, and pay the insurance on it...

Oh haha. I am going for an 05. I won't get one since I don't have $25k (I work for Ace Hardware for $5.75 an hour (just got a $0.25 raise at my 3 month review because they said I rule haha).) BTW: I'm 17.
Or you could be like my twin brother who bought a car and paid cash.

Like jcopin said "you can never say its your car .. its daddy's car .. you just drive it." Which is the truth. It's NOT your car, it's your dad's. Everything is in his name, NOT yours.
What the heck do I care that you think its my dads car? I'll be driving it everyday and the car is for me, who cares what name it's under. Yes I know I can't have the satisfaction of paying for it, but who wouldn't go for an 05 GT if they could get one?
i just really cant wait to get it.....after finally driving the black manual GT......it never felt soo good to be 17.....the dreams i have r starting to happen!! 2 1/2 hours of paperwork wont hurt in feb!!
I'm 27 and have GT Premium w/ all the bells and whistles on order. How'd I pay for it? I lived at home for 5 yrs after I graduated college (thanks mom!)....got a good job...worked my tail off!!!...SAVED my money....moved to Sacramento...bought a house...refinanced it and pulled out money to buy the Stang!!!
Would love to see more of us ladies buying the '05!!!

Not that this fits in:
I am 31(I said it, there) I have two kids- one 11, one 9.
I want a mustang because I still have a little bit of life around me. I have no interest in a mini van or SUV to haul the kids in. I like being fun, don't like being in the PTO parade. I have driven kid friendly cars their whole lives, but now that they are older, my life is fair game.
When my daughter turns 16 in 4.5 years, I am "giving" this car to her. She will get a job and pay me monthly payments and insurance on it. I will immediately turn around and buy my new one.

I just realized something... I am going to be one of THOSE people...
You know, the ones you look over at, and think, "how sad, trying to be young by driving a sports car". I remember looking at a 40-50 yr old in thier Vette, or Porsche, and wonder who they were trying to impress...
Now all you kids are going to be looking at me thinking the same darn thing! :P LOL!

Would you consider this my dad's car?
He'll be signing for it, I'll be paying every cent. I'll be working more then enough to pay for it and more. I'm going to college and living at home to keep costs down so I can afford it.
I'm already paying 342/month for a 02 V6, what's another 100? (yes I know, 72month contract).

lucky b*stards. all of you!!!
i probably wont get my first mustang until i graduate college in 1.5 years. i'm 21 right now, so i'll be 23ish by the time i get my first stang
got my first car at 18 right before i entered college. it was a gift from my dad and my uncle for being the first one of the whole family to enter a university in the U.S. The car is a $3,500 1992 nissan maxima
then last year the transmission gave up on me
, and now i have a $500 1992 nissan sentra, which was a steal imo!
cant wait to get my boney hands on a Mustang!!! :drive:

so you understand what its like to have a hooptie
i had a 96 mustang V6 then a 95 V6 after second 1 was totalled i ended up in my sisters 92 probe lol
i think it makes you a more humble person than these herbs that drive around campus in 70K cars acting all hard core lol
it makes you respect and appreciate things more
give a kid a 40K car at 21 and then tell him to go get a job..lol..why?
these kids have nothing to strive for anymore cuz they go to the UBM (United Bank of Mommy)
