Are there any "young" people going for a '05?

Would you consider this my dad's car?

He'll be signing for it, I'll be paying every cent. I'll be working more then enough to pay for it and more. I'm going to college and living at home to keep costs down so I can afford it.

I'm already paying 342/month for a 02 V6, what's another 100? (yes I know, 72month contract).

nope

dad cosigning/signing and u paying.. its yours
who's paying insurance?
u pay insurance.. even if it on ur parents

i dont think some people are getting the point.

EVEN if your dad says il buy it....when the bill comes be like heres a couple hundred pop.

JUST A EFFORT
kids r such slackers for the most part
some arent
i know a few people that i envy theyre determination.

I just know that I paid for every cent of every car and the insurance of the cars that I have owned, I have had my dad cosign for a car, but that doesn't mean anything, just means I didn't have enough credit to get the load on my own.

im 15 and saving every penny and in 2008 im buying a used 2006 GT. sure it may seem great for all thos kids who are getting their cars handed to them but in 5 or 6 years, because they havnt learned any dicipline, they just might be living at home mooching off their parents.

o...k...

good for you mr. responsible

I only responded to your comment that if it wasn't under your name then it wasn't yours

I know alot of parents that won't give(or let them have) credit line cards from 16-20ish. And without one you can't sign on any dotted line for anything as large as a car
dont take my words out of context

i live in NY.. so like 95% of males under 90 its on my parents name

i directly that towards ppl who said "my daddy is paying for the car"
I completely agreed with you when I read your posts on this topic. My words were also directly towards those that are having mommy & daddy pay for their 05 Mustang. Apparently djaustin was not understanding that.

I'm 20 but sadly, I'm gonna have to wait till I pay off my 03/ graduate from college. Maybe I'll get an 07 Cobra by then.
Same here. I'm waiting to graduate. I want the 05' Saleen 281! That car looks awsome. I think I'll settle for a GT convertible though. I'll be 22 or if I'm lucky, 21 when I get it. It all depends on when I can get a decent job. If worse comes to worse, I'll get a Ranger and build it up the hard way. Throw in a 5.0 motor, you know . Well I'm done.

that's cool... and I agree... I think this topic is too mixed up now...

All I was referring to was the fact that if I pay everything that has to do with a car ie. car, gas, insurance, maitenece... then I feel that I do own and are taking responsibility for the car even though I may have a co-signer on the dotted line.

In my case it's cause my parents have extremely good credit and can lock in a better interest rate than I coudl with my minimal credit. So sure, they are legally responsible by law, but I'm the one paying the bills and everything about the car.

Actually you are both responsible by law, if payments are missed, it will hurt both yours and your parents credit, as well it will also help build your credit if payments are made on time.

Ah! you young whipper-snippers! Well Jessica, if you see a 53 year old, with snow on the roof [and I don't mean the car] crusing down the highway in an 05, or 06 Mustang, don't be alarmed!

That would be me, looking for a hook with you yungins!
Thanks Merlot! I was beginning to think that the over 40 bunch was extinct. I'm 41.

I was afraid someone would say that.

Don't know how I'm gonna keep myself occupied enough to not think about it. School isn't enough of a distraction. Hmmm, guess shopping will have to keep my mind busy.

They should give us loaners to drive until ours come in.

My biggest concern buying a 25k+ car is that it's going to slow the house-buying process... but I guess that's the price I pay for wanting this car for the last 2 years...

I personally think its great if a parent buys their 18 year old a brand new stang. If a parent thinks their kid is mature enough and has earned the car then why not? I wouldn't buy my kid a brand new car right when they got their liscense, because I have no idea if they can drive well yet.

Actually i'm kind of hoping my parents get me a car cover for christmas.

Well Louis, my Dad use to say that when you reached 40, your at the peak of the mountain, and she's all downhill from there.

So looks like your at the peak, and I'm half way down the other side!
