I was never really planning on getting one in the next few years, but I went and test drove one and we found out that I could take one home if I were to pay about $250 payments per month for like 6 years. I would love to have one and all, but I am not one to get into situations that take too long to get out of. I like to pay for my cars in cash. By the way i'm 16...

I'm 25 and have the 05 mustang obsession too. I am trying to hold back until there's decent financing and dealers are willing to negotiate! Heck, I would love to just see one in person! I've only seen the original concept car!

If you don't mind those who are really young (ie. 20 and 21) how are you paying for this car? Is anyone helping you out? Also, I know it is sort of personal but, what is your job situation/pay?
I own my own business, formed it myself about 2 years ago, early next year we are going to franchise (but I can't tell you that) ... and even with that, and a huge amount of liquid assets, my insurance is ridiculous. stinks to be 21 and want a 300 hp car.

I'm 22 and waiting on my GT. I've lost about 7-8k on my trade in over the 3 years I've had it. I had cash for my 1st car (98 Galant, approx 11-12k) but after unstable jobs(closed business, unflexible schedule) and school I haven't gotten much saved, but I'm gettin 10k as a 'college graduation gift' thats going to pay half my car payments until I graduate and get a job where I can pay off the rest.

DJ07, got any plans about where you're going to show off you car first? I'd hate to ruin the fun by bringin mine there too

I take that back Eleanor...TampaBear 67 is now our oldest poster here on this thread!
Maybe I can claim the title of oldest poster - recently turned 51.

Still waiting for my 05 to arrive arrive so that I can retire my similarly aged 97 Cobra - it will roll over 185000 miles tomorrow!

and parents wonder why kids today are slackers and have no respect for things
and other peoples things

you never appreciate things the same way until u busted ur hiney and earned it

u can never say its your car.. its daddy's car..you just drive it.

the feeling of earning it over whining for it..you can hold you head that much higher

theres a 19 yr old around that drives his porsche SUV like he earned it ..never worked a day..loser

I'm 22, and I fell in love with the '65 fastback when I was 15. The 2005 is a dream come true. I'll be getting a Black GT as soon as I can graduate from college... with some quarter window vents to start. Boo yeah!

As a "younger" person I am wondering just how many of you guy and girls fall into my age catorory (under 25) that have gotten or are planning to get an '05 Mustang. Also which model do you have/plan to purchace, a V6 or a GT?
Seeing as how I'm going to be in school until I'm nearly 30 (I only WISH I were exaggerating), there doesn't appear to be a Mustang in my future for quite some time.

But, if I did have the $27K for a fully-loaded GT, you can bet your **** I'd be getting a Mustang...

... unless I had kids, in which case I'd probably go for a Dodge Magnum R/T.

But, yeah, I'm currently 23 and the '05 Mustang is one of the sweetest cars I've ever seen. I'd ****** one in a heartbeat, if I could.
