Park your car at the same parking space. Sit and watch from distance, they will most likely come back, even maybe to see if the damage has been repaired.

Seriously... the world, and humanity would be soooooooo much better off without the person who did this. You just KNOW that this is symbolic of how that person conducts his daily life.

Sucks man,

If it was me, i'd put 10 coats of zaino on my car, and park it in the same spot, and be waiting with a bat in a van parked nearby.

I am very easygoing, however, if it ever happens to me, I hope I catch them in the act, because they would be running for their lives.

I feel your pain...a long time ago someone keyed the hood and whole driver's side on my brand new Silver Metallic '79 Mecury Capri...I had less than 400 miles on it...I was sick over it. Back then I couldn't afford to get it clear coated (called Emeron back then) so I went with laquer...and silver (just like red) fades very easily...I must have had it repainted about 3 times...I finally gave up and traded the car in a year later...the paint was never right....but at least now they have it down to a science and with the right paint shop you'll never know the difference.
Good luck and hang in there...and those jerks will get theirs someday.

The insurance adjuster showed up last Friday, got a call from the insurance company on Monday, and today made the appointment to get the repairs made. I drop the car off January the 2nd and pick up a rental. Can't wait to see what that is...

In the mean time, I'm gonna clean up the driver's side and put some Zainos over the scratches to help. I don't want rust showing up. I don't think the damage went to metal, but why take a chance...

Thanks again for everyone's support, and sympathy, over this barbarian act. I'll be glad to get this matter behind me. It still hurts down deep seeing my pride and joy damaged like this.

Every time I look at those pictures it makes me feel sick, like they're not just scratches but some angry nasty message. I just need to stop looking at them and I'll bet you'll feel much better not having to see them on your car every day either

I would say do not patronize that arena anymore if they cannot provide security.

Wow, this is horrible!!! the way and how much keying they did leads me to believe it was more than just random or jealousy.
Good luck finding the loser who did this!!!

Man I feel for ya. Some people out there are just idiots. They let their fits of jealousy control their actions. I've had too many "random acts" to keep track. The worst was when 2 punks tossed a piece of 4"x4" wood out in front of my car just after getting the body kit installed which trashed the front faschia. There has to be something that can be done other than the typical "just go through your insurance company" crap that I always hear.

****, that sucks.

I take satisfaction in knowing that they did this because they were insanely jealous and that's the way they take out their anger. Also, because that's the way they solve their fustration, they'll never rise about their current status because they won't have the drive to succeed. They'll just blame the world for their lot in life, get drunk and stare at other people nice cars wishing they could drive such things. In which case, I'll smile, wave, and let my engine speak volumes for which they'll never have.

...until they jack your car at gunpoint.

Bottom line is people that do this need to be caned in the parking lot like that kid that got caught tagging in Singapore. Or how about having one of their hands cut off like in Saudi Arabia? THAT will certainly stop those losers from damaging what isn't theirs!!!!

Not a bad idea, but it's impossible to follow through with. I have season tickets and I haven't missed a home game in over 7 years. And I will not let the losers that did this to my car, win. I'm not changing my life around because of some punks. I went to the game last night and except for parking in the VIP section, nothing else changed. Plus, it was half-priced beer night and we won against the best team in the league.

After talking the people that sit around us, and other friends that we have met at the games over the years, everyone agrees that it was an act of jealously from some loser punks. I'm sure that most everyone here is not familiar with the kind of town Odessa, Texas is, but it totally fits the pattern. Most agreed that it might have been a case of mistaken identity, but to a person, the consensus was jealousy, plain and simple. The amount of graffiti around town and other forms of vandalism bears this out.
