Senseless act of vandalism
John, sorry to hear about that. I can't stand it when bad things happen to good people. Perhaps it was a case of mistaken identity? Good luck getting it worked out.
That
'n sucks!
Had the same thing happen to my 69 at a car show in Wildwood NJ a few years back. Car show was over so my buddy and I parked our cars in the hotel carport, then went out with the group for drinks... when we came back my car had been keyed from fender to taillight and his hood had a huge dent in it. Needless to say we were
and the police were worthless.

That feeling of dread.
I remember coming out of work on night a few years ago and seeing my window glass all over the ground and my door slightly ajar... and my interior trashed and stuff missing. I was so mad.
Hope everything gets fixed quick and whoever did this falls on some concrete and breaks their teeth.

10 lashes with a cane would be a fitting punishment....just like that kid got several years ago....bet he didn't do it again, at least not until he got back to the states.
Wow, seeing those pix made my blood run cold. Stupid, stupid a**holes!!!!
Sorry about your ride... hang in there, hope she gets fixed soon.
PS: Your rates should NOT go up because you filed a "comprehensive" auto insurance claim. There is no "fault" assessed, in this case, these are usually "no harm no foul" claims. (I work for an insurer, that's how we handle them)

WTF??? People really suck! I don't understand why, whoever did this, felt it neccessary. If they had an issue with you, they should tell you right in your face instead of being cowards. Remember, karma's a b!tch!!
I totally feel for you. As Vincent Vega so eloquently stated in Pulp Fiction "You just dont fvck with another man's automobile." I believe there's a special place in hell for people who commit totally senseless vandalism, especially those who defile tombstones in cemeteries.
An to quote Jules Winnfield's biblical reference "And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."
So sorry to hear about that man. I would love to catch someone doing that ish....just once.
Man I feel for ya. I know it's frustrating when the police basically say there isn't anything they can do, but unfortunately it's true. In a case like this, unless you have an eyewitness account, it is impossible to say who actually did it. Even video surveillance does no good unless you or someone else can say "oh I recognize him......that's my a-hole neighbor from down the street." Good luck to you and I hope you are able to get it repaired soon.
I thought it looked like a long cut with stitches.
Every time I look at your pics it makes me realize how vulnerable our prized Mustangs really are. Park your car at the same place at the next game and sit somewhere close by (not too close) with a friend and watch to see if someone comes back to add to their vadalism or gloat over what they've already done. It's a long shot, but you never know.

A couple wacks to the knee caps with a tire iron should be a good start towards restitution.
It happen to me a few years back but I was at a bar with a few friends and i parked my 87 GT (at the time) usually right outside the window.
So some a$$-hole thought it would be cool and try to kung-fu on my mirrors not knowing we could see them from inside the bar. I yelled to my buds and about 10 of us come flying out of the bar. The dude started to get into the passenger side of a Bronco II. I went to grab the door and put my hand through the window and I still almost grab him. They took off.
Then later on they came back so we went back out there and the dumba$$es thought they would be bada$$es and brought guns with them. My buds kept me to the back of the pack and well I got the last laugh. Three of my friends that were with me are city cops (long time friends) so that ended everthing quickly. Nobody had to pay for any damage (his was worse than mine)
Didn't need any stitches to my hand (the glass shattered-bleed a little) and the bar owner bought all of us drinks.

This has been going on for years. I had my perfect 55' Chevy keyed like that in 1972. The idiot that did that to your car can not get and hold a job, so they are mad at the world, and take it out on those that have something to show for all their hard work.
Sorry to see that.
I've ALWAYS been of the opinion that vandalism should be have penalties at LEAST twice as bad as theft of the same dollar amount. My reasoning is fairly basic: If a person steals your $1000 TV, then at least SOMEONE has a $1000 TV to watch. If you comes into your home and destroys it, then NO ONE has a $1000 TV to watch.
The greed of wanting something that someone else has earned and being willing to steal it from them is more understandable to me than the simple desire to destroy something that someone else has for no other reason than the joy of the act.
I think a mandatory 1 year prison sentence plus %200 restitution would be good place to start.

man that sucks I know how you feel man. If this hasnt been said already make sure to get a report from the cops so that the insurance is easier to deal with, this is obviously a keying but you never know.

Man.. I am so sorry. That's rough. I would be pretty upset... the person that did that to your car obviously has some real bad issues. Hope you get her back to normal asap!
