Senseless act of vandalism
This might be nothing, but the the way the vertical scratches curve down it looks like the idiot might be left handed??? I'm no CSI but just an observation.
Also, people do that for attention or to show off to a friend. That being said whoever did it probably wasn't alone at the time of the crime. I would post "REWARD" posters for a large sum of money, and then if the idiot is turned in... well you know the rest.
Sorry man...

Man that sucks. Sorry bout that happening to your ride. I hope whoever did that gets his soon... real soon. I just had my car broken into in November and one of the cops that did the fingerprints on my stang said his truck was keyed earlier this year too. He also said he wishes he would have stumbled upon the punk so he could beat the crap out of that fool. We all wish that I'm sure.
Well, I guess I don't wish death on the person who did this, but some pain and suffering would be ok... As for it being premeditated towards me, as far as I know, I haven't ****ed anybody off recently. I do like the idea of a reward poster though. I know one of the owners of the hockey team, infact he came out to look at it the night it happened. I'm sure he would not have a problem with me putting up some posters offering a reward for information. I'll speak with him about it at the next game. Thanks for the idea. Maybe something good can come out of this.
I've never had someone key mine. But i've got a brick thrown through not just my back window but my front as well AND scrappes from the brick on my roof. I know how you feel. It's a terrible feeling. I hope karma gets them
So sorry to see that happen to you. I hope everything works out for you and you get her back in shape ASAP. As far as the person who did this, I like the de-nutting idea, not that it would help fix your car but it would sure be a good feeling of some justice.
That REALLY looks like someone who had a score to settle with you. It does not look random to me. Random crimes are quick, easy, and not planned out well. Someone took quite a bit of time to concentrate on damaging your car.
I'm a cop and have seen my fair share of keyed vehicles. I've never seen one like yours that was random. Random keyed vehicles (generally) have one long key mark down the side of the car as the jerk walks past the car. They usually are not alone, multiple cars get hit that same night.
This is not random...trust me. It was either done by someone you know, or possibly someone who thought they knew you (mistaken car).

I feel for ya dude...I feel sick to my stomach when I saw the pics...
Remember though...
It is only paint. It is no where NEAR as bad as if they had rammed your car... not that this helps but at least paint is only cosmetic...If it had been rammed, you could have long lasting effects from it...

Thanks for the insight. You do make valid points. I can't imagine who would have it in for me, or at least my car. I haven't done anything to upset anybody. No po'd ex-girlfriends, coworkers, fellow hockey fans, etc. The night before we even saw some opposing team fans at one of the local restaurants and complimented them on a great game. We lost on Friday night and played the same team again on Saturday. We won on Saturday. I suppose if the fans saw me getting in my car at the restaurant, and was angry about losing and they located my car in the parking lot, they could have done it...
But like I said, we were all civil to each other at the restaurant the previous night.
As you can see, the car is pretty much one-of-a-kind, but a case of mistaken identity is still a possibility. I've only seen a handful of blue Mustangs with white stripes since I got mine back in February. But anything is possible.

hope everything works out.
Sweet Baby Jesus - I can't imagine what I would do if I caught the turd in the act.
Temporary insanity. I'm sorry your honor, I just don't know what came over me...
I used to only drive my '69 Mach 1 if I could park it where I had a direct line of sight. That was 20 years ago. And now with my 05, I still do the same. Paranoia? Yes. Back then it was a real pain since the Mach was my only car for a while. Now the 05 is a fair weather fun car, so it is not such a pain. But still, I am uncomfortable if I can't see it when it is parked.

I think they deserve to die. It is sensless disrespect for other people and their possesions. This type of vermin have no place in my world and even though all they did on the surface was some vandalisim it shows enough disrespect that they might do something much worse, like the type of animals who abuse the elderly and disabled, they do not deserve to walk among men.
That said, I agree it was a targeted attack. If they were just going to key a random car because it is nicer then what they own, the first pic would have sufficed. It's as if they started and it just wasn't enough, so they went back to put hash marks down the side. They were pretty brazen so they felt atleast somewhat safe there, so I would suspect someone who knows the area and knows the hocky schedule well enough to guess when people might be walking around the parking lot.
I am really sorry for you, it's not so much the damage but the principle. Had they just robbed you for your cash on hand it would have been cheaper and you wouldn't be losing too much time and effort, the vandalism takes your money, your time and your effort. Not to mention the psycological element of now you'll be paranoid every time you leave your car unattended.
Such a shame
