But with that agreed- Why is there a problem with someone buying a v6 cause they wanted it.
Some of you act like that's a Dirty word and we should be ashamed. Thats just silly.

I don't agree with this concept that someone wouldn't choose a V6 on styling alone. There are enough differences in the V6 and V8 styling that I can how someone would choose a V6, especially if having V8 power was not that important. I can also how someone can say "I can afford a GT but decided on the V6". Even if you have the money, why spend it if you're happy with what you get in the V6?

How much shorter? It doesn't look shorter to me and the part # for the hood on the GT and V6 are the same, according to my service department because I already priced a replacement hood incase I want to install a CDC shaker.

The differences between the V-6 and the GT are Front grill, fog lamps, front bumper, rear facia, dual exhaust and painted side rocker panels. Thats it, the hood is the same.

Uh yeah, I've noticed all the things you mentioned.
I was replying strictly to the comment that the GT was longer than the V6.

i got the v-6 because the GT is going for about 33k in socal dealers around me, i got my v6, which was almost fully loaded except IUP and red leather for 19,, my dad also got 4k for his really old beat up beemer, so we got our new stang for about 15k, now thats half the price of the GT, and i do not need the 300 hp since im in highschool, and i live in a city area, i can see you guys wanting the power and you lived somewhere where it was usable (like the away from the city), but why do you GT guys always have to act like you are better than the v6'ers, i mean they are all mustangs, cant we all just be happy?

What I have been trying to get through is that more options are a good thing. Could be a V-6 SE, could just be more options. Whatever. It would allow people to personalize their cars from the factory instead of from the aftermarket. The poster who mentioned Scion has it exactly right. They have a butt-load of options. This puts the mods in the car loan instead of out of pocket. Those that prefer the "clean" look do not have to purchase the add-ons. Simple. Different strokes for different folks. And I still think an OPTIONAL higher powered v-6 would be good.

yeah but the scion is just Toyota trying to appeal to the younger generation since Toyota has turned into Buick(mostly older people driving them)
and even if Ford did offer all these accesories how many would really order them? The accesories would be marked up very high, it would probably still be cheaper to do it aftermarket.
