Well did he mean "stripped?" or "Striped?" For a "stripped" version, that seems right for a base model. If he meant to write "striped" and it's not a "stripped" base model, then yeah, it's a very good deal.
I'm confused

I think Foird leaves it as it is. They made a car that looks, drives and is priced fantastic. And they hit a grand slam even. Why screw with it? And for the people maybe buying an acura or whatever cars mentioned, let em. I for one dont want every car on the road to be a mustang. If the dealers cant sell the v-6 its their problem. Just as when they cant get us a GT its ours. Its a fact of life. I did see a nice v-6 legend lime vert on the pike today heading the other direction. Saw it from a long way off and had my pulse going like a school kid getting kissed for the first time. Man I cant wait to get my car

Personally, I prefer the looks of the V6 to the GT but I had to have the V8 so the GT was the only choice. If I could have had the V8 drivetrain in a V6 body (LX anyone?), I'd have jumped on it! Just my .02.

Your vert is beautiful Grant. Well said BTW B)
i agree...grant could you post more pics of your vert (or did i miss them already posted?)

btw...ill be buying a 06 V6...
-will be daily driver (prefer V6 gas mileage)
-dont need the V8 power (present car has 215hp,and thats more then enough for me)
-price is a issue
-prefer the V6 front end and rear (fake cap)
-what i dont like at all about the V6 is the wheels,im hoping the 06 comes with something more like mach1 rims (would mach1 rims fit a 05/06 V6?)

For more vert pictures previously posted, search for my posts under mgmcc, then go to topic "Windveil Blue/Lt Graphite Convertible". There are many 1024 x 768 pictures there. Grant

thanks for reposting this for me. I think it is funny how everyone is concerned with the accords, altimas horsepower, but when you look at their speeds the "little V-6 is as fast if not faster than these cars. and rember Road and Track tested an automatic V-6.
I would have loved to have the option of the 17in bullets, and the fogs. I decided not to try to do the fogs cause I do not want to be confused as a wanna-be GT, I love my V-6 and am very very proud of her.
I am currently trying to work out a deal with a TMS member who lives close to me to buy his wheels, but alas since I bought a new house its not looking to good...

$19800 sounds about right for a stripped 6 with manual trans.
About right? it's a steal!
the way these babies are going these days
(dont think it came with stripes or spoiler, but it's still a steal)

The best thing about the Mustang is stripped is still loaded by most opinion. Mine is a Premium Cloth with the Shaker 500 and manual. Had to add spoiler for $209 and Stripes on side and top for $350...

Personally, more wheel options for both the V6 and GT would always be great, but I like the 6 just the way it is. It looks great, sounds great, rides great, and I exptect it will sell very well...

Now, can I have mine, please?
You can have yours. What color????

Personally, I would like to see a different, more beefy front bumper. I would also like to see a "performance suspension" option (AKA GT or Shelby suspension.

Are you mental?
My car is perfect, and just like I wanted it (sans it being an auto, but it couldn't be helped). Shes frigging beautiful. AND yes I wanted a 6, I didn't get denied a Gt and settle.
I love her I adore her and I worship her. I wouldn't trade Eleanor for Ten Gts.

Really? You wouldn't trade one six-banger for 10 GTs? That makes a lot of sense. I guess we see what sort of mind it takes to come up with such an original nickname for your car. I guess you wouldn't trade the dollar in your pocket for ten $100 bills, either...

Give me a break. This is a stupid topic. Obviously the market for the two cars is completely different. Why spend so much effort on improving the performace of a car that people don't buy because of its performance?

Too bad they don't make a four-cylinder anymore. Maybe some of the people in this thread would prefer it!
No need to be rude, you didn't think your arguement through either. If the market is obviously so different for the 2 cars, then why can't Eleanorsmine have the car she wants? Obviously, the market's different, and she's not in the market for the GT. If you think this is such a stupid topic, don't post in it.

Whether or not the market is different, it is completely obsurd to say you would prefer one $20,000 car to $120,000 worth of another. The six banger is, and always will be a cheaper alternative thatn the GT for those who are willing to accept less performance in order to save some money. There is no way anyone will ever convince me that its the superior car and that if money was no object that they wouldn't go for the V-8.
Finally, isn't the idea of these forums to voice your opinion and share information? Well, my opinion, for your information, is that this is a stupid topic.

This is the only good point in this whole thread!!! I miss the old days when you could buy an LX with the V8 in it! It was fun to sneak up on a heavier, slower GT and blow it away!

I totally agree with what April says...I wanted a V6 and my Mazie is perfect just the way she is and "I love her I adore her and I worship her."

If you think about it-
you have two levels of v6(and GT)- the premium and deluxe. One has more than the other.

And IUP or No IUP
And Icap....
Manual or Auto

Plenty of options.

Both the cars are beauties in their own rights.

But yes, I wanted, fell in love with and had to have my six, and I am sorry, no changing my mind would convince me to get rid of her for a Gt. Maybe in a year or two, I will add her a Shelby sister, but Eleanor is with me for the long haul.

I agree. Ford has done an incredibly poor job advertising the '05 Mustangs here in Northern CA. The Super Bowl ad is the only one I've seen on TV. I'm guessing it is because this is rice country so Ford figures why bother . But then again one dealer said to me "Mustang buyers don't shop for anything else, so we don't need to advertise them".

Ford should be forwarding some of that FDAF they are charging buyers to me. Almost everytime I stop somewhere in my GT, people want to see the car inside and out and have many questions about it. Mine is the only '05 Stang amidst a sea of Hondas in my neighborhood, so I get plenty of attention.

I think the V6s are a great value and will start selling once people know about them.
