Service Manager for a large Ford Dealer in Orlando, Fl. Starting my 29th year in Fixed Operations. The wife works for Ford Credit for the last 23 years. Yes we are a "Blue Oval" family!

PM me with location. I have a condo in FL and keep my 99 Taurus there. Have had several bad service experiences.

How do I get a C-130 or even a raptor, or how bout the old but effective Tomcat?
I would love to play with any one of them.

Thanks to all of you who serve/have served our great country. Words cannot describe my gratitude or deep respect for you.

Very interesting careers. I thought it would be fairly diverse. It is.

I'm a United States Navy Master Chief Petty Officer with 24 years service. The last ten years they have let me drive a Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) to transport USMC vehicles from ship to shore so the Marines can do their job. It is a fun piece of equipment to drive...........I can't believe they pay me to do it! This is my first post but I have been reading all of your post since April, right after placing the order for my 06.

24. I'm a SGT in the Army as an EOD Tech. We are the bomb squad for the Army so, I get to blow things up to pay for my ride. I'm like the Master Chief (above), I can't believe they pay me to do this.

Spent some time in those old girls back in the days. I was an Air Traffic Controller for 7 years in the Navy, then worked Martin Airport in MD. The MD Guard had 130's and A-10's. I have a soft spot in my heart still for Military aviation.

Didn't that MD air guard unit with the A-10's win the William Tell competition a bunch of years over the regular air force units? My dad recently retired from the North Dakota National Guard and if you look at the history of William Tell, they have one their fair share of the competition.

Welcome Master Chief. The Marines always need aSailor to get them where they are going without getting lost

I got out in '76 as an AC1, sometimes I kick myself for not staying in.

Thank you for your service.

When I was at Martin they had just just transitioned to them from O-2's, talk about culture shock.

When I worked at Patuxent Approach, they came down all the time to play in our Restricted Area and shoot a few GCA's.

My son is entering college next month, plans to major in electrcial engineering, then apply to Navy OCS with a designation of Aviation. He wants to be a Naval Aviator, specifically he wants to fly the F/A-18 or whatever replaces it down the road. I'm concerned for him, but quite proud of him.

We need guys like you all. Thank ALL of you for your service, past, present and future. We could never thank you enough.

Ditto to everything above, ponyboy66, even the part about the F-147 Tomcat---greatest fighter jet every built, IMO. Great gratitude and respect to all who serve us. Very interesting discussion, diverse careers.

Mustangers are an interesting lot, to say the least. Hardly one-dimensional. So diverse, yet all sharing the common interest in the Stang. That's been the best part of engaging in the Mustang hobby---the terrific people I have met, and the great friendships I have been blessed with.

I work for a major airline here in Las Vegas working on the ramp. I had worked in the casinos for over 9 years, but had enough of that. Very cutthroat industry. I love my job and all of its benefits. Have been at it now for 4 1/2 years. I saved up money for a down and then financed the rest from a credit union.

Well, I don't own a Mustang yet, but maybe soon. My husband works at AAI building Mustangs and I guess we will officially move to Michigan when I quit dragging my feet. We are a "family divided" right now and it is NO fun!!!! In the meantime I am holding the fort down with my son. How does everyone relocate from state to state so easily??!! Or do they?

I'm 22 and just graduated from college with an accounting degree in May. I am now an accountant for a wire distributor in Middle TN; we supply wire for many airline/aviation companies (Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Star Aviation) and the military. It's a great job! The Stang is financed through the credit union with a low interest rate but I hope to have it paid for in a year or two.

I'm a software development lead for a major computer manufacturer based in Round Rock (Austin), TX. Paid half with options, half with good old American credit.

That is to say, I WILL pay for my beauty if the ERL will ever give her up!

Still waiting on my 06 to get here, but..... I'm a 26 year old computer programmer here in the great state of Georgia working for the pooty company Delta. Which also happens to be 2 miles from the Atlanta Ford plant. Too bad they don't make stangs there...

Army Sergeant First Class currently deployed to Baghdad (where it's hot and busy today). Dropped half down on an '06 GT--just hoping it'll be ready for me when I get back home.

Steel bar finisher for The Timken Co. (steel and roller bearings) Just ordered my 06 Tungsten GT on 7/13/05, so that means I should get it just in time for my b-day(3-13)......lol. As a single dad, just now getting to keep some $$ I was paying in child support. So this is actually very exciting for me. No, not a mid-life crisis, I can just now afford it !!!
