I just retired two weeks ago from a software company where I had done just about everything over 29 year career.

My 2005 is my (early) retirement gift to myself. I financed it at the local Credit Union but it's just about paid off - only $960 to go!

More than half the payoff came from the subsequent sale of the gold '69 fastback shown below with the 2005 MG. I had also been saving my pennies during the months preceding the delivery of the 2005.

I know, I shouldn't have sold the '69 but I can't afford more than 2 Mustangs at a time - I also have a '67 coupe that's under reconstruction!

My official title is Senior IT Specialist. I am a Team Lead for an automated warehouse system, for a major grocery company (not Wallyworld). I have a BBA in Information Systems from The University of Cincinnati.

I put $5000 down on my Mustang (money that was supposed to go toward remodeling my kitchen, but what fun is that) and make monthly payments for the next 58 months! And as far as money for mods, that's a good one, I'm wondering the same : )

I'm a Byte Monkey (Networking Analyst for a big blue computer company)
27 years in, working at home in WI.
Not a bad gig for a 2 year Technicians Deploma... (DeVry)

It got me X-plan for my GT (and the $$ to pay for it , of course)

Ive been a pilot for Continental Airlines for the last 6 1/2 years. I'm based in Newark NJ, but I live in Charlotte NC. You all talk about your commute to work and I envy you....I have to hop a plane every week to get to and from work. I did numerous things in aviation before I got this job. I got lucky, i'm only 29.

I'll be getting an 06' GT. Was going to get the '05 GT, but circumstances prevented it. I have to get out from under a 2004 Chrysler Concord. That was a raw deal and an even longer story.

Wish me luck

Brian

I'm in the Florida Army National Guard full time...my deployment last year definitely helped me afford this car. Can't wait for January when it comes in!

I am a full time Criminal Justice student and I work part time for Oreilly Auto Parts. My husband is in the United States Air Force (17 years) and needless to say he handles most of the 05'car cost.....Plus we have 3 children.

I'm a Master Sergeant in the Air Force. I'm in aircraft maintenance-avionics carreer field. I'm currently stationed at Osan AB Korea with 3 months left on this unaccompanied tour. I'll return to Beale AFB, CA to my family and a new Mustang in November. I am currently associated with the F-16 fighter and will be assigned to the Global Hawk unmanned recon aircraft upon return to Beale.

I'm an electronic prepress technician. Fancy lingo for "file jockey!"

Basically, I work for a commercial printer, preparing electronic files using desktop publishing software. I generate files for impostition on printing plates for the presses.

I will be looking for similar work in California come August... Maybe with a little more emphasis on graphic design. In my 12 years in printing, I've seen what passes for design and I'm sure I can do it! Printing has been very very good to me, but graphic work may be even better.

Can anyone in Sacramento use someone well-versed in desktop publishing programs?

I worked for an Aluminum Company for 30 years (ALCOA), and now I am in Security at a shipping port 4 days per week for my play money. Car paid for...home paid for. Don't really have to work, but it gives me x-tra $$$ for my golf and other toys

I work for Boeing of Canada for over 16 years and have had the pleasure of making the wing to body panels for both the 747 airforce 1's when they were first building it .
The most work I have done has been on the 737 next generation line in assembly ,however I've worked on 727's 737 classic and next generation 767 engine strut panels 747 wing to body and 777 engine strut panels .
The hardest thing i had to see there was the 911 layoffs over 1/2 the factory on the floor was layed off ( about 500 workers ) .But its looking real good for us now and I felt now that I'm 42 this is the best time for me to get the mustang before everything goes to retirement .
And for right now I'm on the 747 line assembling the wing to body panels
Really love my job and the people I work with ,...Boeing is a great place to work and nothing gives me more pleasure in the though that millons of people the world over are flying on something I built ( I figure I have worked on and made the panels for well over 500 next generation aircraft alone). :flag2:

But parents just got divorced so now I'm gunna have to help my mom with the bills somewhat. I have two jobs. I put in bullet ressistant glass into banks and construction. I have an associate degree and am working on my bachelor in business hoping to open up my own golf shop someday. wish me luck!

JUST took my last final in the major of structural engineering TODAY. Will be moving back to San Diego in the next month to find a way to pay for this GT I got on order. Oh yeah... moving back in with the parents when I get there; THAT should be fun!
