Has anyone tried NitroFill in their tires ?
You're taking life giving oxygen and trapping it in rubber. For shame.
Of course, the other side of that coin is that you're trapping carbon in there too, which should save the planet...
Hey... There's an idea... use CO2 outta the exhausts of the cars to pump up the tires. Surely that's a good idea...

//aka jranger.
///if you know of jranger... awesome.

Hah, funny you mention that, trace gasses aside, we aren't that far from having enough oxygen in the atmosphere to turn the Earth into one giant Apollo 1 mission.
The anti-nitro gang can shame nitrogen users by saying that storing nitrogen in tires will increase the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere possibly causing the whole planet to go poof in one giant fireball after a stray lightning strike.
Hmmmm... y'know I might just start that rumor and see how long it takes to catch on.
Some interesting (edit:untrue) things I've heard about nitrogen!
1. Dont mix it with air - it will create water in tires
2. Wont nitrogen explode - I'm guessing people are either confusing nitrogen with hydrogen or nitrous oxide (which by itself is about as flammable as oxygen) or perhaps even nitro-methane or nitroglycerin (I know glycerin is the stabilizer) ???

This thread is a monster arising from the grave.
Since my last post a couple of hundred years ago I have taken the money not spent on nitrogen and used it to buy more tires!
Doing fun things that wear tires out provides much more happiness than nitrogen. I recommend doing fun things that wear tries out! ;~)

**** straight I couldn't agree more ! Each and everyday some dip comes up with an idea that
may be good for some but not for others and we get all exited and blow it up way all out of proportions and now we think we need this or that thus taking the fun out of life.

Thats like TPMS sensors, alot of people hate them. They add some extra expense to every vehicle they are fitted to as well as generally being a pain in the *** depending on the situation (rim swaps, enviromental damage, general wear and tear, ect) but if they can prevent even one person from being seriously injured or prevent them from dieing, I'm fine with it (even more so when I'm in the immediate vicinity of something happening real bad and with the possibility of it painfully involving me).
I've got one even better than nitrogen or the TPMS sensors. Go someplace where they put tires on and strictly follow the RMA's tire replacement standards when less than a full set of tires are installed on a vehicle that isn't covered by a special circumstance (ie; staggered tires sizes and/or different speed ratings for the most part).
Common sense says install the new tires on the front, however nothing could be farther from the truth. Its safer to install the new tires on the rear and there is plenty of empirical data to back installing the new tires on the rear as the safest option.
You probably wouldn't unless you were able to take back to back drives and then it would probably require an extreme difference in the gas filling the tires (ie; completely dry vs. very wet).
