I caught this off the tailend of the news segment but apparently 5 cars were stolen from Mossy Ford in PB, including to 05s.....anyone have any more info on this? Terri?

the union trib was a little clearer on what happened....

SAN DIEGO – Seven new vehicles were stolen from a Pacific Beach car dealership Wednesday morning after car thieves broke into a shed and stole vehicle keys, police said.
An unknown number of thieves broke into the shed on Morena Boulevard near Garnet Avenue in Bay Ho. The shed is used to house keys for vehicles from Mossy Ford.

The suspects then went a few block away to the Mossy dealership on Mission Bay Drive near Garnet, cut the locks and used the keys to start and drive off several new vehicles, police said.

Police were called about 7:45 a.m. Wednesday. Seven vehicles – 2005 Ford Mustangs and Expeditions – were reported missing.


sounds like it might have been an inside job, or someone did their homework at least, since the keys were kept off the property, and they new what keys to take to get which cars they wanted....

 

hopefully none of the cars were for any members here..

That must have been an inside job. I had a dealer here tell me someone tried to steal an 05 but was not successful.

Lets see.. they apeared to know where to find the keys, and apeared to know WHICH keys went to which vehicles... sounds like they all came off the overflow lot, not the regular dealer lot, (which is usually a little more secure). If the dealer has an overflow lot, that means he has a lot of cars, so it makes it seem even more like an inside job...

 

Let's investigate 2scoops.

Iwas thinking that too at first since they have two Ford GTs on the lot, but the cars were stolen from the overflow lot, also what the heck would they do with a Ford GT, they cant drive it (would be spotted in a heart beat), and parting it out would be nearly impossible (real small market for stolen GT parts). But why SDS stangs, well at least this makes them even rarer....lol, and if SD is only getting 200 of those things, how come Mossy Ford already has over 30 of them?

They also stole the entire "Key Trac" drawer of keys...therefor we have to have keys made for all veh. at that lot.

I'm no detective, but it's pretty obvious to me who took these. I'm sure it was a dealer with allocation problems.

 

Whatever....get out of here with that noise. She's about 5' 7", petite, nice skin tone, beautiful face.

I'm not trying to flame you here....but if you don't think that girl is attractive then you must be....well you know....gay.

I hate it when people do that crap (and I'm not talking about you specifically) where others see a hot girl (woman, whatever) and they're like...eh, she's alright, or man, she's nasty. Give me a break, if that girl walked into your bedroom you'd wet yourself.
