Alright i went to my local ford dealershipa nd was talking to a dealer about my car and he told me right off the bat that he was not to sure about the prices of the 05s so after he found out everything i wanted he went to his manager to get the prices. So then the manager comes in with the salesmen and starts telling me that the base price for the GT would be around $29,500. I knew that was way off so i showed him the price list and he said that it was basicly correct but becuase it was from september that the prices had probably changed a little becuase they change on a regular basis. So we finished talking and as i was leaving the salesmen was talking to me and told me that my prices were correct as far as to his knowledge and that he did not like his manager and to not believe what his manager said. Does this sound like a soap opra gone bad or what?! But about the prices changing, is there any truth in that?! what should i do. The manager told me that i should shop around at all the other dealers in my area and come back to him and tell him the best price i got and he would give me a better offer, does this all sound like a load of junk or what?! please help!

EDIT: sorry so long, i just wanted to try and make this as clear as possible!

My curent low bid: $20,327.26 + TTT

Current from my chosen dealer_ $20,030 But I don't have that in writing yet aside from my email. I would prefer two mustangs from the same dealer. An 04 convertible hertz turn in and my GREEEEEEEEN or BLACCCCCCK 05 brand new and unmolested.

Hello Everyone, Been a while since I've posted. Congrats to those of you who are now cruising around your towns in '05s. I am 20, and my dad is buying me an 05 on XPlan. I've waited quite some time now to place an order b/c my dad wanted to wait to see what the XPlan price would be for a GT. So I called a dealer now that people are getting cars to get an estimate on the XPlan cost of my dream car, and found out they don't know exactly until the car arrives. Price does matter, my dad has set a limit of 24K. Ideally I would get a Black GT Deluxe with auto trans, IUP, and Shaker 500. But that seems to almost definitely cross the line. I am wondering if anyone with similar orders could tell me what the XPlan prices on their invoices are so that I can get a better estimate on what I can get. Much Thanks to anyone who can help. B)

Your dealer is full of it. They can quote you an x-plan price when they configure the order in their CONCEPS system. If they don't want to give you a price, they don't want to sell you a car.

I ordered a red GT with every option except the premium wheels - they look too much like truck wheels and automatic transmission. I am getting it for A plan price - well D plan which is the same price as A plan. Not a dime over invoice. My dealorship is Nolan Ford of Georgetown in Georgetown KY and my salesman is Aaron Martin. Excellent sales and service. I have the dealor invoice and the msrp is 28925 with the invoice price being 26687.55. D plan is less than dealor price. I can not wait!!!

I'm in the Sunrise area [and new to the Forum!] and going to place my order for my GT this weekend. (no place close has all the options I want).

I'll let you know how it goes Infinitenegine.

I walked into Sawgrass Ford Sat morn on a whim - talk about perfect timing - they had JUST gotten in a Torch Red GT and were rolling it onto the showroom floor. Man, what a gorgeous car. Took a few minutes to check it out and then had to split.

Let's see how this weekend goes.....

My plan:

BLACK
GT Deluxe (don't need leather seats in Florida - no way)
Int Upgrade
Automatic
Antitheft
Locking lugs
SHAKER 1000 (no ifs ands or BUTTS )
Standard wheels (not nuts about the $195 ones and like the old Bullitt look of the standards anyway)

Man o man I can't wait ........

Art,

The dealership is Van Bortel Ford, we're just outside of Rochester, NY. We appreciate the plug, have you done business with us yet? We had a customer pick up their F350 Crew from California this morning. They're doing the sightseeing trip home. Heck, Houston barely gets the car broke in!!

I'm not eligible for any dicount pricing but received this e-mail offer this morning. Any thoughts out there for a soon-to-be Michigan buyer?

2005 Mustang GT Coupe Premium
Black Exterior
Dark Charcoal w/ Crimson Red Leather Interior
5-Speed Manual Transmission
Active Anti-Theft System
Interior Color Accent Package
Interior Upgrade Package
Wheel Locking Kit
Front Seat Side Airbags
17†Bright Machined-Aluminum Wheels
__________________________________________________ __________________
I can sell the Mustang you specified for $25413.11 tax would be $1524.79 total of $26937.90 plus plates. Please call or e-mail me and let me know what you would like to do. By the way you did not mention if you had A or Z plan, it would be less expensive.

Thank you,
Myron Kar, Ed Schmid Ford, 248-544-0716

MSRP for that car should be $27,825 and invoice $25,446. With this deal you will be about $1,500 above invoice or about $887 below sticker. It would be a good deal if other dealerships are charging above sticker on the ones they have.
