1966 Ford Mustang Coupe Build Chronicle w Engine Upgrade!
Well that depends, do you want a cheap, rednecked way that involves "Special" wheels, or a real way for cheap? I'll explain both
Redneck way - weld an extra stud onto your spindle somewhere, custom drill wheels
Real way, still not the best, but cheap - get an adapter. It goes over the 4 lugs and has 5 that come off it. Arin (future9er24) has them for his II, so I know they're out there somewhere...
Expensive way is buy 5 lug spindles.

Granada swap or finding 65-66 V8 spindles. Unfortunately those years had different spindles for I6 and V8. Then in 67 they became the same spindle for either engine choice.
Nice! ill have a video when it is completely done. Which will be a while, lol. Well, finally decided on some tires and rims just waiting on a price.

Those wheels are similar to the ones I bought for my 67. Have them in the attic waiting to get tires. I bought the set from Summit.
I'm probably going to go with Sumitomo HTR 200s.

Those both look nice, but if you get custom wheels they will cost!
I have the American Racing Chrome Torque Thust D's in 15 inch.
I got mine at the local Discount Tire. They were able to match the price from the online retailer........

Because the rear is 4 stud instead of 5?
I put a higher gear ratio in my rear end when I got my posi installed and that really gave the car a lot more accelration!
I went from a 2.78 gear ratio to a 3.25 and it feels like I gave it about 50 more horse power! It might be something you could consider in the future especially if you have a worn out rear end like mine.

Yeah, that is an odd size. Maybe you should change that back to stock, then you would have plenty of wheels to chose from!
Custom wheels cost a lot more, might want want to go with something that they already make and save lots of $$$....
