Well how new is the battery?? How new is the alternator?? It could be that the alternator aint charging the battery good enough of the battery is bad and is not accepting the charge all the way.

Battery is a couple months old. alternator, no idea.

Finally picked up some parts to do the brakes. New Drums, Shoes, cylinders, and of course a hardware kit. She will finally be 5 lug all around soon

You're going to stick with drum instead of disc brakes?

I had drums on mine and it was hard to stop with them.

Ya, believe me, if i could of afforded to swap to rotors, i would in a heartbeat. But i need to get this thing drivable, so drums are for now.

OK, be carefull with those. With mine I had to plan my stop about a block ahead of time.

Actually my rear brakes are still drums, it's only the front that are power disc brakes. Maybe you should consider that?

lol, untill I got my disc brakes it felt like every car that pulled out in front of me was throwing themselves under my wheels!

and to think back in the 60's almost all cars has 4 wheel drum brakes including some high proformence and race cars.

Hmm a nice day, I may fire up the Torino for a drive. Another car with 4 wheel drums and a lot of weight! nice to know how it feels to stop a freight train.

Finally picked up backing plates, spindles and hubs this weekend and sand blasted them today. hoping to get them on before friday
