2005 GT Driveshaft Prop
Hi.
In the last time I can hear a click sound everytime I drive close to a building etc.
It`s not following the wheel speed, so I think driveline ?
Yesterday I noticed a small tear in the shaft boot. Do You think it can be some dust or water going into the bearing, that makes that click sound

driveshaft is directly connected to the wheels (through gears) and the driveshaft rotational speed varies proportional to the wheel/vehicle speed .... so if the click frequency does not change with vehicle speed, it probably isn't the driveshaft
I guess it is possible that there could be a click coming from that joint but I'd look elsewhere first

Interesting Repair Kit???

Notice All The Different Options These Days For Driveshafts. First One Listed is Original Style But Shows No Boot! Interesting!

I Don't Know If You Can Get in a Safe Position To Use The Old Wood Trick to Check Carrier Bearing or Not But an FYI. Obviously Car Would Need To Be on Stands!
