Driveshaft vibrations after replacing center support bearing With JXB Performance Kit
Driveshaft vibrations after replacing center support bearing With JXB Performance Kit
After replacing the center support bearing from jxb performance there’s a nasty vibration that lasts a couple seconds mainly in the lower 3 gears during medium-hard acceleration around 2-3k rpms. My only guess as to what it could be would either be that the new bearing misaligned the driveline angle or the bushings for the bearing hardware are too soft. Anyone have a similar experience with jxb and have a solution or any helpful insight? Thank you

Solution
Turns out the driveshaft was spinning inside the bearing during those vibrations which was apparent after seeing the black ring of rubber it left around the bearing. Jay from jxb sent over some tougher dampeners for the bolts and bushings which he said weren’t made for the mustang in specific but after installation they worked like a charm. Be careful when lining up the bushings as they have a little play when tightening so make sure it’s centered and making good contact.
