I've never understood that "new" thinking. It's like every health nut immediately starts their litany of "wheat's bad, dairy's bad, meat's bad, caffeine's bad, alcohol's bad blah blah blah". Would humans have ever survived and spread out of Mesopotamia without those food stuffs?
Canine teeth were not designed for eating dried grain nuggets out of a bag. I share carnivorous scraps mixed in with their nuggets not so they "do tricks", but as part of their diet. I have not had any premature deaths, and my 3 rescue dogs over 30 years have been tremendously happy ranch dogs. JMO

I give captain tiny bits of my food also.. He LOVES viggies tho so I give him a bunch mixed in with his dry food
