I was giving him Science Diet healthy skin made by Hills also. This one just seems to have better ingredients, plus I need to drop his wight so his joints can rest a bit.

 

awww! He really is cute, is he a golden retriever, or what? I want a dog so badly, but I have to wait...

 

yes he's pure GG. So is my other one Leto. Tag is 2 now. Leto is 14.

Tag has the most mischievous and attention grabbing personality LOL!

We have to keep my dog's weight down too because of her degenerative hip disease and lack of exercise after her ACL surgeries. Along with the "diet" food she gets, we put her on a green bean diet. We give her just a little less food, but supplement it with canned green beans. They act as a filler, but without all of those calories. She loves them too, which helps. She loves carrots too so sometimes we will give her those instead. She lost a little more than 10 lbs in a month when we started her on the green bean diet.

lol...I thought everyone fed their dogs green beans. They've been a staple of Flash's diet since he came home with us. He gets a can at lunch every day if someone is at the house. If not, he gets them before bed. The fiber in them is good for his digestion too.

I have "custody" this week and next of our second Sheltie. My first, Shelby, crossed the Rainbow Bridge in March '13.

Captains home! He keeps crying they said everything went well tho. The lady who took care of him said "he's so big and mean looking but he's the sweetest dog I've ever met" . That made me feel good. Have a rough few weeks ahead of us

 

Awww poor guy! Did they do both knees? Or just one...

 

Just one for now... If they would've done both he wouldn't have been able to walk.
