I took Captain with me to the office Friday and when a guy came to get his paycheck he started barking at him and wouldn't stop till he left.

Man, my Bassett HATES water. The look he gives me when I bathe him is so very painful! Poor guy. Of course when I get him out and dried off, he's mad at me for an hour or so. Running the length of the house back and forth, growling and grumbling at the same time, pausing to bark at me...it's hilarious.

He likes when I give him a shower... He just doesn't like getting in the tub for some odd reason. HAHAHAHA did you put him in water from the time he was a pup?

Yeah, we bathed him regularly since we got him almost 9 years ago. The silly turd will stand outside--in the rain--and look at the back door. He won't get under the over-hang in the back yard, he just stands there looking as pitiful as a dog possibly can. He got to the point that he was shivering one afternoon until I finally just had to take him inside when it rains.
