Yeah I dunno... hmmmm OH WAIT. I think it just came to me. (Yes, I severely miss my car. What I did/do with my Mustang today - to keep with the thread - is I sat in my office and longed for summer. Gabe, can you imagine my car with Kooks LTH, Quad H w/ Green Cats, Side pipes? This spring/summer coming up. )

But hey, it's just my opinion, and on your car your opinion is the only one that really matters.
The color is actually my favorite part of that wheel. Dark Tinted Clearcoat I think is what they call it. I personally don't care for chrome or black wheels, at least on my current Pony.

She is gonna be loud for sure, maybe invest in a hearing-protection company? Lol ...

And yeah, the tinted spokes were a huge attraction to these wheels for me too ... so many other companies offer silver and matte-black ... neither one I care for, not on this car, anyway ...

uh-oh ... I quoted a pic ... oh, no !!!

^ lol on the pic quote. Love it.

Hey, you think it will be "too" loud? I can always have a plate made that could close it out right? or get QTPs? So, question, if she's loud now with the Corsa Extremes that I have, how much more loud will she be with all my mods I mentioned? 100% more - double as loud? 50% more? 200% more?

My girlfriend's son put Kooks longtubes on his Mach 1, along with a catted Kooks x- pipe and it made the previously sedate setup obnoxiously loud. Slow driving not bad but the moment you give it gas it gets stupid loud and annoying

I am thinking of stepping down to the Kooks axlebacks or the GT500's on mine to keep the quiet down a bit since I will have the same setup along with the Kooks Side Pipes. I am guessing 100% more-double loud haha.

That's why I am going back to the H pipe. I think with the H, I'll get back the low tone. Loud, but low. I'm trying to find a good vid of someone with that same setup on youtube. Know of any? Kooks LTH, catted/quad H, side pipes. The best part is that I can always remove the side pipes and seal off the H. Or baffle it down with a metering plate. I need to call Kooks and ask if it comes with a plat to meter/seal.

I think double loud is what I'm thinking. The Corsa Extremes alone get manic at WOT. I can't imagine with headers and side pipes.

^ thanks Gabe... sounds awesome. He just mentions Kooks catted mid pipe though, do you know if it's H or X? so add the side pipes, it'll be louder, but lower. Hopefully.

edit, I just opened it up on another browser, and he states catted H. So that's good. Same.

I drove mine

Took it out to dinner with the GF, felt awesome to drive it again, to spin the tires, hear the exhaust, hear the Whipple whine ... etc.

How are you liking the new Nittos? Might be considering those soon.

I like them. I haven't had a chance to really push them, but so far I really like them.
Roads are covered in salt and sand, or still wet, so I didn't go crazy, didn't wanna crash the car on my first drive of the year, lol.
I also still have to check/reset the tire pressures from when the tire shop mounted them

Thanks!

I'm planning on driving her again today.
I have some tools I need to return to a friend that's an hour away.
Should be a nice drive

Found out mine got put on the title page of an article in Mustang Driver magazine. If any of you read it, it's the Article called Terlingua Time and it's the one front-and-center on the left page. The lower circular inset of the two guys with helmets on is also of me in the background with the organizer of the event driving my Shelby.

Checked the tire pressure in the new tires/wheels this morning.
Got super pissed off to find that the shop that mounted the tires left 58 psi in the front tires and 50 psi in the rears (drag radials).
They never once mentioned that I should check and reset the pressure to whatever I might wanna run, they just gave me the tires/wheels, took my money and let me leave.
The "max psi" for the front tires is 50.
Not sure what it is for the DR's

Reset them all to 32psi, went on a 2-hour drive with the GF, got back to find that the panhard bar somehow shifted to the right and the tire touched the fender repeatedly over the bumps/dips on the roads/highways:

So I now re-centered the axle and am thinking of what springs to get for the rear to maybe lift the car a 1/4" or so.
I currently have Steeda Sport springs, advertised at a 1.25" rear drop, and I have adjustable Koni shocks.
The tire rub above was even after I cranked the shocks 2 full turns toward firm (they only have 2.5 turns total)

Took another picture of the car while on the road in a restaurant's parking lot

Looks like it is sitting a little lower in the rear though. What are you thinking Gabe? New shocks?

Those are two of my best friends right behind me, and the chief organizer of the event in his Terlingua bringing up the rear there. He's the one in the circular inset while driving mine on the speed run.
