I finally did the unthinkable today! Better late than never. But someone came out of hiding yesterday. It was 60 degrees and sunny (mostly). Roads were semi-drivable. So I started her up and drove her up and down the street only. She fired up right away after a ~5 month hiatus. Hearing her crank, her idle, her revs, was surreal. I didn't realize how much I missed her. What's sad though is, amazing after 5 months of not driving her, you forget how stiff the clutch is, how short the MGW shifts are, and you have to get used to the timing again. A big contributor to that is the fact that I have been driving my POS 1993 Prizm with a clutch as soft as a marshmallow and a shifter that's as wobbly and long as on old man's walking cane.

Regardless, my point is, I missed Marilyn... a lot. And it was fantastic driving her yesterday (albeit dirty) for 5-10 minutes. Here's the awful phone pics to prove it.

well I may have to resign to defeat with the steering wheel!! it just does not want to budge at all...and I can't get the steering wheel puller to grab hold to get it out, I feer the holes are stripped out If anyone has any ideas that will work I would love to hear them, I am concerned if I bang on the wheel with the rubber mallet any more I could cause damage and I really dont want that...HELP!!!

Shouldn't have to.
If running a boost-a-pump sometimes the added voltage shortens the pump's life, but I don't think there's any real proof of that anywhere.

Brake fluid should be changed every 2-3 years.
If running a higher DOT number, like 4 or 5, then every 1-2 years.

Take a look at your brake fluid in your reservoir.
Does it look fairly clear or is it turning brown?
Brown or dark brown means a need for a flush

lol, Gabe. Those pics are only for Instagram. You know you love that Infiniti. Does it make it better if it's swirl free?

Ok, so pump wise, I'm good.

Brake fluid wise, I haven't checked it in at least 6 months or more, so let me take a peek. Changed every 2-3 regardless of miles? Even at 13k miles for me?

Installed the Edge insight CST for data logging and performance management. Works pretty well, lots of options. No I just need some runs to log

Don't know; this is the first in-car telemetry equipment I've installed. Everything else has been via laptop. It's a lot more convenient at least.

It's running well, going to lay off events until I have a truck to tow it with from now on. Probably won't run a whole lot of track days until after Summer, but it will keep the mileage low and I'll be able to mess with a few things I've been meaning to do to it for a while. Thanks! It's appreciated.

Thanks a lot Tony! Guess what the weather here is doing as we speak? RAINING! Perfect. Get that salt and crap off the roads, NOW. Marilyn needs her runway.

Anyone know what the stock ride height of the Track Pack/Brembo cars is from the fenders to the ground? Trying to see how much of a drop I'm getting and didn't bother to measure a year ago.

That's awesome. Glad to hear she's running well. 207 in the Mile Run is pretty stout!
Good luck bro!

Well, I officially activated her insurance today. Drove for her 10 minutes. Oh how I missed her. It was liberating. I didn't care if she was dirty. I'll wash her this weekend.

Then tonight we played Forza on our new Xbox. When your son picks a Shelby on Forza and does nothing but burnouts during a race, PRICELESS!!!

Finally swapped in the new L&M twin-66mm throttle body.
Unfortunately I now can't drive the car for a couple of weeks since I'm sending the intake tube out for hydro dipping.

Became victorious in getting the steering wheel off (while at Autozone) on a nice 70* plus day (drove with the windows down hehe) and just enjoyed rowing the gears....now I just need to attempt to find the correct adapter for the stang...it is not the correct one that I bought...
