Looking at the map I assume y'all took 285 around the South side through DeKalb county (good thing y'all didn't stop anywhere, its a good place to get your ****ing head blown off at a stop light in a car like that, and I'm not exaggerating.). I assume you didn't go around the north side of 285 through Cobb county, lest you would probably be *****ing about a $500 ticket. Everyone gets faster and faster as the freeway gets wider and expands into more lanes through Marietta, however the speed limit drops so Cobb county likes to sit on the inside median next to the concrete wall and nail people that are still doing 75-80 (from when the limit was 70) and it changes to 60.
That's how they pay for the good schools in Marietta.

You're a smart man. That is the best way to go. When I go south to the ****ty parts of Ga. like Valdosta or into the east side of FL. like Daytona, Miami, Key West, etc. I hit it right through the middle on 75. Most people take the bypass (285) around ATL but ATL has gotten so big and spread out that the by pass is the busiest part of the place. \
That's why people don't realize just how packed it is down there. The official count of people is only around 500K but they only count the city limits. The outskirts where most people live (around the 285 by pass, or the perimeter as its known where most of the people live that commute is much larger). When you add in the folks that are very close but just outside the city limits around all the communities around the perimeter that commute into town every day, the population is almost 6 million people. Folks in different states don't realize that because they only count the interior around DeKalb county.

My 12th grade physics teacher told us he had a friend that built a device that would send a signal to make the radar read whatever speed he wanted. He said his buddy rarely used it to speed, but liked to go where he knew LEO were running radar and get in a group of cars going the speed limit and set the device to send a signal reading 100mph.

I used to have this little device that would send an X band signal. When I saw a car with a radar detector in the window I would hit the button. Since they were right next to me it would make their detector go off full blast. It was funny to see the brakes get slammed on and some people would move to the slower lane.

If a cop really wanted to get me good he'd use x band radar
I get a lot of k band signals from automatic doors
There's a couple of hotels where I live near the freeway that set it off
I've never had a false Ka band though
My 1985 Chrysler Laser would say that!
