Don't get me wrong, I love the sn-95 cars (cobras and Machs) but a s-197 would be much better money spent. The advancement of the platform is not even comparable.

Even a 4.6 car would be better than an sn-95 for you. Its an all around better vehicle. You can go back and get a Mach or Cobra when you get financially sound. Right now, you need to be looking at later model stuff.
To me, the frustration remains, a guy can update a 10+ year old car with power and handling (to a degree) and such. But its still 10+ yr old car driving experience.
And I have some great memories with 10+ yr older cars (that I still cling to). But the step up is usually worth it.

I agree with Lee. You could always build a Mach 1 tribute car out of a 05+ also. Shouldn't be that difficult and would probably look pretty dang good. The SN95 Mach 1 didn't handle for crap and the motor wasn't that impressive. I'm putting the cobra up for sale pretty soon and it will be the last SN95 car I will probably ever own. It's been a fun car but not at all practical or worth the money that's wrapped up in it.
I would probably sell that GT of yours and build the notch. I would prefer having the notch over your GT or a Mach 1.

I love my HOONIGT, but I'm tired of SN95s. I still drool over the sound of a 4.6 with an offroad pipe downshifting to a red light, but I'm over the nuances of these cars. Like you and Charlie said, if I had $100k to throw at one to make it perfect and redo everything, that might be different, but I can't spend that kind of money on something I can't live in.

Sorry man. Been watching Netflix. Nobody was posting when I checked earlier. I'm just watching the clock tonight anyways. Nothing exciting.

Looking forward to 5:30. This is the first weekend since December where I can sleep in a little and not feel guilty for wasting part of my only day off! I'll probably still be up at 7 though, just out of habit.

I love the SN95. I can see where you're coming from but having the latest and greatest technology in a car isn't what I'm looking for. It's not like I'm gonna be building a race car. I love how the SN95s are more simple. With the new ones there's so much more technology which in my mind means so much more to go wrong. Parts are also a lot more expensive. Sure I'd love a new 5.0, but that's just not in my price range.

I'd also love to finish my notch, but it needs too much work and I just don't have the means or skills to get it where I want. I know I can learn, but you've seen how hard it is for me to just get my stupid LCAs off. A battle I still haven't won BTW. And the notch is 13 years older.

Hey guys!! I've been gone awhile I know. Hard to find the time while I'm over here. They've got some really nice 4 door Rangers with diesels in them. Couldn't get a pic of the new one since I usually don't have a camera when I'm off the camp. Here's an older one.
