The landowner knew that the site was on a slave cemetery. When the guys were digging the trenches he told them stay away from here and there etc. he knew exactly where they were as the land had been in his family since Texas was founded. We didn't build on top of any but some of the exterior beams of the house came within a few feet of the buried slaves.
Now that would be some pissed off old ghosts!
