Just curious if kids in other parts of the country are taught like they are here. Down here everything is yes sir, no ma'am, etc. And if they are addressing an adult its Mr. or Miss. If mine or my nephews wanted to tell you something they would preface it with "Mr Gary", "Mr. Scott", "Mr. Paul", "Miss Jill", "Miss Stefanny", etc.
I have noticed the tradition starting to go away among kids of younger parents though. Kind of sad to me, but I guess people would consider it progressing and the times changing.

So you just call them by their last name? Or do you say Mr/Mrs.(last name)? If the latter, that's what I meant.

Another thing I've noticed that is disappearing down here is kids not interrupting when adults are talking. For example, if I'm visiting my nephews and their dad and I are talking, if they have something to ask they'll come over and wait until we finish, or there is a lull in the conversation before they start talking.

The kids that I don't know well call me Mr. (insert my last name here)

There's a lake here about a quarter of a mile as the crow flies from the house, and there are a ton of geese that stay over there. For some reason they are starting to come over here around the house every once in a while. One was ran over out here a few months ago, and I've seen a couple walk through the woods and across the yard.
I went outside the other night about 2 am to have a smoke and I decided to walk out in the yard and take a leak while I was out there. I never turn the lights on, and its dark as hell out here. I took a few steps off the side walk into the yard, whipped it out and about halfway through one of those freaking geese let out a big honk and scared the living **** out of me. Must have been really close because it was loud as hell.
Stupid freakin' geese. Made me pee on myself.

The wheels, custom headlights and black bumpers put her over the top
I'd have to agree.
"oh I must have a secret identity so people won't know who I am." "Oh yeah? Screw that, I'm ****in' Ironman"
