I can't live without trees. Houses can be rebuilt but a nice grove of trees takes a generation or two.
I laugh at how 'foresters' and fallers claim big trees can't grow close to each other. Even the small firs are coming up under the canopy.

I love trees in the yard, but I'm not going to keep one that could endanger the house.

I only cut the ones that were big enough to go through the house and kill us in our sleep when a thunderstorm comes up in the middle of the night, and it was only about 40 pines, hell, I've got at least 100,000 more out here. Not like there's no trees left on the place, lol.

Though not like flatland Minnesoooota or god forbid pancake Kansas, I've lived similar to what you state by living on hilltops. The view truly is magnificent. But it ain't worth it with that dadgum nonstop WIND!!

And I've lived in flat SoCal which is a miserable inland. But the ocean view rocks.

I love my mountain house in the valley on the forest floor. With the critters. With mountians surrounding you that peak through the trees. And then drive out for the wide open view.

No.

And I had to cut all that grass anyway, it was already there, its just easier now because I don't have to swerve around and weed eat around all those ****ing loblollys in the middle of it and around the edges.
