I have been working on a new aftermarket Mustang piece for about a year now. Most people dont know about it yet. Finished it finally and sold one to a local guy.
I will be releasing it on this site as soon as I get some professional pictures.
In the meantime you can see it on ebay that I posted today, more of a marketing research than retailing.

Well, by this time next week I should be relieved of a lot of worry. When the tornadoes came through and during some nasty thunderstorms that followed, I got paranoid and went on a tree cutting binge around the house. After seeing the damage that was happening, I picked out every tree that was tall enough to reach the house, and also big enough to do serious damage and cut all of them down, about 40 in all. Mostly big Virgina and loblolly pines that are notorious for falling down here during a freak heavy snow and when the ground is saturated during high winds because their roots are so shallow.
I felt a lot more secure after that, but there was one I didn't cut that I really wanted gone after looking at it more and seeing how much it moved during high winds. A huge poplar that splits into two trunks at the bottom. Having seen enough split trunk trees in the woods, I know that when they get really large and old, they rot inside where the split is. The tree will look healthy, but when it falls, it will be hollow and rotten as hell where the split is.
Been planning to get someone to look at it all summer and kept putting it off. I'd cut it myself if were anywhere else, just fall it back into the woods and cut it up and give the logs to someone if they wanted, or pile them up and burn them. But this bastard is in a position that if it took a wrong lean, it would go right through my car port, garage, the cars, and into the living room and dining room (the reason I wanted it cut in the first place).
Its a big SOB and makes me a nervous wreck every time the wind gets up.
Each one of those trunks is over 7ft around, the one on the left is the one that would go through the house and cars, the one on the right splits again farther up and would probably go away from it into the woods.
Not only are they big around, they are also over 100ft tall....
Well a friend of mine had a guy come out and cut a couple that were close to his barn and recommend him, said he had really nice equipment and knew what the hell he was doing, also left the place spotless, chipped, ground, raked up and hauled every thing off.
Got him to come out and look at it today, really just wanted them dropped due east into the woods, I can take care of everything else. But he said he'd bring his big bucket truck, trim some of the big limbs first, drop the trees, haul off the logs, and grind the stump down for $600. I said have at it.
Supposed to be here next week.
I'll sleep a hell of a lot better at night when its storming, that's for sure.

$600 is really cheap.
