The thing that strikes me when I see those pics, is just how many jillions of people have trampled across that ground over the millenium.
Whereas my place has maybe had some Native Americans or trappers walk over it - maybe. But I am the first human to ever live here - and live here permanently year round. (Food and everything has to be imported - only big Pondo's grow here.) How rare to find places left like that on the earth these days. So that pea dirt out there is only from my pee!

There's a moderate chance for severe weather here today. Sun is trying to pop out so it's only a matter of time.
