Then 4 strokes were dogs. I understand they're much improved.
My only street bike was a Suzi 380 3 cyl. Mini Kawa 750.
Everytime I run a chainsaw it makes my heart race for the good ol days in hs.

Mine were 70's era enduro. Lights and all. 2 stroke. Lots of overnight trail stuff too. It was that Bronson thing with a sleeping bag on back to set up camp - then race. lol Love the smell of 2 stroke in the morning with a camp fire.

Like this, but most of the street stuff was gone off of it by the time I got it.
Saved up all my birthday, Christmas, etc. money, plus all the money I made doing chores for people. I think I gave $150 for it.

I've been wanting a motorcycle for a while now. I don't know anything about them though I just think it would be awesome to be able to ride and feel 'free' for a while. What's a good choice for a newb?

depends on what kind of bike you want. That feeling of freedom will be taken away quite soon though, and replaced with a feeling of "holy **** ***** on a phone, ****ing pay attention to what the **** you're doing and stay in your own ****ing lane, mother ****er!"

If you get one, be sure to check the organ donor card on your license, someone will need them, and it wont be you. And let your family know the area you're riding in so they can get there quick to pick you up with a sponge and some trash bags.

My first bike that I owned was a 1970(?) Suzuki TC 90. Rode the wheels off of that thing in the woods as a kid. I could barely reach the ground on it when I got it, lol.

I loved that kick lever that you can see on the crank case to switch it from low range to hi range. Cool feature for that time period.

I know how terrifying it can be driving in heavy traffic with my Mustang, and its just a lowered vehicle, I get nearly run over multiple times a week with people just not paying attention to what they're doing, and you'll be even less visible on a bike. Its a damned shame, really.

That low range at least allowed me to slow things down but keep in the power band. Felt like I was doing a trials course! lol

Part of the sales pitch to my old man (no wonder I went into sales) was that we could use it for hunting (even though it was money I earned like you). So here I am this little featherweight 14 yr old with my dad on back, rifles slinged on both of us, and I'm trying to keep the front end down on old logging roads and trails.

The guy that died had ran a red light leaving my school and was hit from the side by an oncoming car at around 45mph. They said he died instantly. Sad to think about
