I gotta get my knee worked on one day. Putting it off as long as possible. Only good thing about surgery is pain killers.

That dilaudid was pretty effective but can only give you every 4 hrs for some reason. The first day the pain would outrun the juice so they would fill in with percocet pills - but they'd take 15-30 minutes to work. So I was lookin' for that 4 hr intravenous dilaudid for sure. Then they weaned me off by the third day to just percs.

When I was mauled by my stallion they gave me one of those pumps that I could control. But morphine gives me a splitting headache so they had to switch to something else. Don't know why I didn't get a pump for this. I don't like a drug high but I do want some relief from pain.

I've only had surgery once. And that was to get my tubes tied, cut, burned and double knotted they gave me Percocet, but I didn't like they way they made me feel, so I think I only took one or two and then just dealt with the pain.

lol I had a mixture of perocet and muscle relaxer and they made my eyes swim. Hated it.

Percocet sucks. Loritab really works well though. No pain and I get an energy boost.

Dilaudid is highly addictive. I think in over usage it can cause kidney or liver damage. I know the addictive part is right but I cant remember 100% on the latter

Even a morphine pump is on a schedule, you can only hit it so much

Learning about some of these meds drives me batt****. They always have whack side effects. Can't they come up with something by now that interrupts the nerves without damaging vital organs??? Geez.
I know my kidney function got pretty low for some reason. And the pee cup was very little and very dark the first 2 days. Maybe it was the dilaudid.

It prob was. I've never had a major surgery or anything so I haven't ever had the good stuff. Loritabs and percocets do nothing for me

Anytime you are going to quote the word surgery, it's pretty much a dead giveaway, lol.

Haha, just cause it was more of a procedure than actual surgery, lol.

Definitely much easier for men than women. My husband wanted to have a kid together but there was no way I was ever going to put myself in the position of possibly being a single parent ever again.

We had two and didn't want to be outnumbered! Thought we were in agreement, but there have been some words in the past that point to that not being true. Oh well!

That's a big thing to find out later that you aren't in agreement on.

The only surgery I've had is removing a bb from my hand.
