I used to like loud rides when I was young. Now I like them subdued until I jump on the right pedal. Loud s**t gets on my nerves now, unless it is brutally fast and deserves to be so. Now get the f**k off my lawn you heathens!

God I hate SBC. I've built a ton of them, but when I see them in a 30's-40's Ford hotrod it makes me want to puke. I walk away from them. I know the reasons behind it, they are cheaper to build, and you can walk in any parts store and get anything for them if you break down on the road. But f**k me, things aren't what they were years ago, if you want to build an old Ford hotrod, put a Ford motor in it.

I like having to replace gaskets every 3 months so you don't have to listen to exhaust leaks, not to mention how fun it is installing them when they never fit right even when the ad says "direct bolt on".

I agree with Lee, the SBC in a Ford body is just wrong. Ford should make a competitor motor to the LS series, they're becoming super popular in hotrods

I don't have any exhaust leaks, at least i shouldn't. Not with embossed copper header gaskets, my LT's make a tink noise when the car is idling

No disrespect to the LS motors, or the SBC in general they are great. But when I see an old Ford hot rod at a cruise in, if it has a chevy motor I just walk on by no matter how good the work is on it. If you're going to spend that kind of money to build a 32, 33, 34, etc. Ford hotrod, put a Ford motor in it. I don't care if its a flathead with Strombergs, a hot little Windsor, or a turboed ecoboost. Keep your GM s**t to yourself and put it in one of their cars. Leave us alone!
