I don't know. I guess since they sponsor the Heisman trophy, that somehow gives them the ability to use the names and images of former Heisman winners for advertising.
Barry Sanders probably had one of the Top 5 if not the best single season of any player in football history back in 1988.
In 1988, in what has been called the greatest season in college football history,[2] Sanders led the nation by averaging 7.6 yards per carry and over 200 yards per game, including rushing for over 300 yards in four games. He set college football season records with 2,628 yards rushing, 3,249 total yards, 234 points, 39 touchdowns, of which 37 were rushing (also a record), 5 consecutive 200 yard games, scored at least 2 touchdowns in 11 consecutive games, and 9 times he scored at least 3 touchdowns. Sanders also ran for 222 yards and scored 5 touchdowns in his three quarters of action in the Holiday Bowl - a game that was not included with his season statistics.[3] Sanders won the Heisman Trophy as the season's most outstanding player.[4] However, he left Oklahoma State before his senior season to enter the NFL draft.

The way I see it is that juke is a football term that a RB or a FB or any kind of reciever would do and Barry Sanders is probably one of the RB in the game so it would make sense to use him as a "reference" for juke.
And Staubach idk I guess because he was the best quarterback that Navy every had another term of best could be streched to maximum thus turning into Maxima

I'm very familiar with Colonel Sanders, but I wouldn't know Barry Sanders if he walked up and introduced himself. Can you tell I'm a big sports fan?

I know what 'juke' means in football, but its original usage is much less flattering and has 'African' etymology.

what the African Etmyology is but I guess thats what they are trying to get the point across but it is VERY poorly done! Maybe use Staubach for Maxima and Ron Dayne for the Juke lol

Of course they could use Ricky Williams for the Rogue since they don't have a car named Ganja.

Suckish day this one was. I found that the rear passenger door on the Mazda was hit. It has two nasty dents, and even the wheel opening got bent too. Not even a year since the car was fixed ant it already needs body repairs I hate it. The other thing was that the employee parking lot flooded and when it wast time to move it , the water level rose up pretty fast Luckily ant 7pm the water drained away and I was able to take the car out of that place.
Cool!
Only when I reached College was the first time I've had classes in a room with AC.
I agree with you. Couldn't said it better.
Modern day commodities have softened them. A real shame. Really.
My first year at the local college was the first year they had air conditioning. Just plain old window units, but everyone who came before me had no AC.
Which is kind of funny because in 7th grade we moved to a different city and everyone told me how lucky it was that I wasn't there the years before because that was the first year they had AC in the classrooms also.
And I'm not that old.
That pic of uofm is just wasteful. That's people flagrantly spending other peoples money. I can understand if that was built from an endowment, but even then they could have built a building and left some money for scholarships.
There was a story on the news about 1 in 7 Americans living in poverty. They better take a look at the rest of the world because last time I checked people in true poverty in Africa didn't have blu-ray players, 50" flat screen TV's, the latest Air Jordans, and 7 kids with cell phones and grilles.

I couldn't agree more. We didn't have A/C until we started high school, and even then it was barely adequate compared to today. In elementary and middle, we just had a big fan at the front of the room and the teacher would turn it from one side of the class to the other every 15 minutes. We would be counting the minutes for our side's turn at the fan. Then you had some teachers that used it as a discipline control. If people on your side were acting up and talking, you lost your turn at the fan.
When school started back this year several schools had problems with parts of the A/C not working properly. They sent the kids home early because some of the class rooms reached temps of 80 degrees. WTF? Are you kidding me? We would have killed to have an 80 classroom in elementary and middle, even in high school where we had A/C it hovered around there. Kids today are pussies plain and simple, and the parents are just as bad for fostering that mentality.

I think it was the most crowded I've ever seen it! I didn't see you anywhere, were you sitting anywhere in particular? We were right in front of the wine glass tent, right behind the MD lottery and 100.7 tents. They had quite a few new vendors there. I liked the Far Eastern Shore, they were new. And of course my absolute favorite, Berrywine/Linganore and Boordi my second favorite. Oh, and I got my Salerno's crab dip fix too
Our favorite wine was from Port of Leonardtown, St Michael's was also good. My Mom said there was one from Sugarloaf, I didn't see it, did you? They supposedly have an excellent Pinoit Grigio? (I'm not really a wine drinker so I had some in the beginning since I was the D.D.
This Saturday is the Maryland Microbrew festival in Union Mills. Can't wait for that one. BWW will be there this year. I love their spicy Garlic sauce
