I just bought a 10" Pioneer sub in a truck box. I don't like how I have to move my seat forward to fit it, so it's going between the seat and dash board. It's on speaker leads right now (is that bad on it for extended amounts of time?) and I'm looking for an amp. The sub is a 400w max, so about 150 RMS should be safe. Any suggestions for an amp?
And, so you know, I've only got 18 watts RMS per channel, with 2 speakers on each back channel, 1 on each front. And just from what I've heard from this sub so far, 150 rms will be definately enough to satisfy me.

Thats what she said.
Seriously tho, it shouldnt hurt them if they are only hooked up for a short period of time. On the amp you will prolly need about a 100-150 watt amp just for the on sub.

so I've gotten my change check for the semester, I'm going to buy that head unit and some dynamat to install one weekend when it's not so blasted hot. I gotta start building around it though.

Sean, get an alpine F300 4ch amp. You could use the front channels for your speakers and bridge the rears for the sub. What's the OHM rating on the sub? I think they're like $140 on ebay...

I've always wondered, other than the taller outfield walls in modern American ballparks, why no one has done this before.

Calgary company plans to make car bodies from hemp
By John Morrissy, Financial Post August 23, 2010
The latest buzz out of the automotive world is from Calgary's Motive Industries, which announced it would introduce an electric car whose bio-composite body is made from hemp.
The prototype of the four-passenger, zero-emission vehicle, known as the Kestrel, is to be unveiled at an electric mobility trade show in Vancouver in September and would be the first of its kind in Canada, the company said.
Its body is built from hemp grown in Vegreville, Alta., outside Edmonton, and processed into an impact-resistant bio-composite material produced by the Alberta Innovates Technology Futures program, the company said.
