The local home depot parking lot is usually DEAD. At christmas time last year, there was maybe half a dozen cars in the parking lot. Menards is the one that's usually pretty packed.
Got mine on ebay for about $130. You probably want an amp for them though. I've never bothered hooking them up to the HU.

How many watts RMS at what OHM? What's the model number? You should be able to google it and find out if you don't already.

I've been driving the Bronco all week. Trying to save miles on the Raptor. I like the fact that I can take it to a football game, or Lowes, or a supermarket and not give a crap where I park. All the other cars I have to hunt for the perfect spot all the time.
I was driving next to a high school bus this afternoon and 3 kids were taking pics or vids of my Raptor as I drove by.

I've had an epiphany on Seven. We are going in a slightly different direction now. Not sure if I want to tell you people or not. You probably won't like it. It involves some mods and some painting.

so for the components, I need to mount my amp to hook up the non bass frequencies of the door speakers, right? Where do the crossovers go, and can I put the tweeters in the upper door panel where the backside of the mirror is?

And to answer...maybe, some put the crossovers inside the doors, but they can get wet inside there and I had problems with corrosion, so I started mounting them under the dash behind the driver's side kick panel. And yes you can put the tweeters there.

We call that the sail panel BTW.

Did you see the Kooks exhaust video I posted yesterday.
I'm really thinking very, very hard about doing it. I know what I said before about modding it, but I love that truck every bit as much as Seven and it needs some attention too.
I'm thinking CAI, tuner, headers, high flow catted y pipe, Magnaflow cat back, and a dyno tune ought to be good for about 80 rwhp.
These trucks usually put down about 310-320 rwhp and Hennesey (the crook) has dynos of about 395+ with those mods.

I bought these for my Mustang and powered them with an Alpine F300, and wow do they sound amazing. Don't go cheap and get the References, these sound so much better. I have them set at -6dB on the crossover, which sounds absolutely perfect to me.

No offense Gary, but I wouldn't mind if you added some color/chrome to it. Not to be mean, but I think the all black look is played out, like flame jobs in the 70's, pro-street in the 80's, chameleon/flip flop paint in the 90's, and body kits and big wings in the 00's. Don't get me wrong, it looks great, but I think it has run its course and become too common.

Hey I gotta admit, I'm not normally a fan of the darker look... (unless the whisky cab runs dangerously close to the edge... )
But Gary, Seven is smokin'.... love that vid!!!
EDIT: Somebody please post the link.
vB's search sucks! Type seven see if you can find anything. Yet that is the name of the thread! grrr... [Whoa Kemosabe ]

You could. In the s197 there is a fuse box on the passenger side, and the stock amps for the Shaker system are on the driver's side. Since I removed the (2) stock amps I just placed them where the amps were. They were about the same size.
