I know when I was stationed at Fort Campbell KY that when there was 2 inches of snow on the ground they would shut down base.

They will with a 3 inch body lift on a 4x4. My problem is I have a 2wd and it sits 2.5 inches lower in the front. So I have to level and lift to fit them

Well the 2.5" difference is on the 4x4's also. All trucks are higher in back due too hauling things. But I do see what you are talking about. Just wanted to make sure cuz I didnt want you to do all that and find out that they were too big.

Just one inch ? that isn't much , but if most were not prepared and those idiots out there just spinning the tires thinking its cool I grew up in a snow bank, and when I built bridges and we drove alot on grid roads covered in it , with a while out you could not see where you had to turn right or left , so ofter we went up and over landing in a snow bank , so I got a name of Mr. Magoo lmao

You have to understand, we don't have the resources here and the geography is different. Yankees make fun of our snow driving abilities, but I would wager that you would have the same kind of problems that we do if you lived here that we do. We don't have snow plows on the ready, or salt/sand/gravel trucks on every street. I've also noticed when driving up north that you guys don't have ditches like we do. Ours tend to be several feet deep off of each side of the road, and from what I have seen you guys don't really have ditches, just 6 inch drop offs from the side of the road. And I love when the people up north talk about driving on ice. Nobody can drive on ice. It is out of control period. Ice is ice. Put a yankee in Georgia during an ice/snow storm and lets see how you guys drive. It wouldn't be pretty I promise.

Anyway. We don't equip ourselves to drive in the snow because we might have to do so once a decade. So you'll have to excuse us.
Besides we are all just redneck hillbillies anyway.
